Fabulous Oven!

I’ve been a gas oven and gas range gal for decades. We bought an older home that needed to have the kitchen gutted and completely remodeled. We wanted to remodel with aging in place in mind and we wanted a kitchen that is eco-savvy. Since propane gas contributes to methane levels in the atmosphere I decided to go back to electric appliances as our rural electric co-op is sourcing from as much renewable energy as they can; wind and solar. All the features of this oven are just what an aging in place home needs. The swing door and slide-out rack make it so easy to put food into the oven and get it out without leaning over a hot door or trying to pull out a sticky hot rack. I thought all the cooking features would be puffery. They are not! I’m regularly using the precision cooking settings. Living at 8900 feet, sometimes baking is a guessing game. Not with the precision cooking settings. Air Fry….oh my! Never thought i would use it. Think zucchini chips, beet chips for a healthy alternative to potato chips. The price of the oven was a bit difficult to choke down, but very glad we did. Oven has been in use one month. Now let’s hope the computer elements are as impressive as the functions they control….and last into our ‘aging in place’ years. I am not affliated with GE in anyway…I just love to cook and had the opportunity to create my dream kitchen.

Great Wall Oven

I had been sticking with old style oven for many year due to lack of side opening or overpriced items.
I tried this oven and was able to perform installation and configuration within 2 hours.
To link the oven to the App was the more challenging but after I did figure to select other oven, 1,2,3, Voila.

The oven does its own upgrades. I love it.

Door handle bottom attachment point not secured. When opening he door a noticeable gap @ 1" between the door and handle appears. I don't think this is supposed to happen. Also the door is slightly at an angle, thus making the door hard to open and close. I notified the appliance store and waiting for something....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE Profile wall oven with swing door

Fantastic sleek look. Smooth sliding racks with a well thought out locking feature. Air fryer far out performs our countertop fryer. Most appreciated feature is swinging door vs. pull down. We selected one that opens to the left brilliant.
