Great Oven- Should not have had to sign up for App

The oven operates great. We love it. I do not like that fact that some functions were disabled until I signed up for the app.

Also, we understand that having some features needing to be downloaded can be confusing. But, sometimes we come out with new cooking modes after we have released an appliance, by connecting and updating our models with Smart HQ, it allows us to bring new features to all of our models. Very Disappointing

The double oven is disappointing. It doesn't have two timers, only one. Which is a problem since it is a double oven. The roll out tracks are smaller than the regular rack, so it doesn't fit standard baking sheets. The oven turns off when the oven door is open which is terrible when you are preheating the oven. The display only shows one oven setting at a time. My previous double oven showed the temperature on both ovens when I was using both ovens. The display is large enough to display both ovens, but only has a very small display in the center showing one oven. The preheating time is much longer on the ovens than on my previous ovens. It was supossed to have wifi connectivity through the appliance app, but it often doesn't work. I tried again and again over the course of a month to get it to connect. Then it only stayed connected for a few weeks and then stopped connecting. I again have tried again and again to get it to connect but it doesn't work! It is also anoying to get messages on tbe display every time you open the oven telling you to close the oven (and the oven stops) and you can't check anything on the oven until you click on the message, even when the door is already closed n so you can't do anything until the message is gone. This oven is so frustrating and disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Liked all but the current issue!

I really liked the oven until this AM. After a power outage I cannot get it to work.....
I did not originally setup a wifi account. I just want to cook with it while I am home.
Now that I am trying to setup an account, that is not working either!

Very disappointed!!!

Temperature is off!!! I cooked an entire holiday meal and when I put it into the oven to heat it up it burned the entire meal!!!! I out in a thermometer to check the temperature and, although I set it to 350 degrees, it’s at 500 degrees!!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

SCREEN GOES BLANK/nonreactive. Faulty product!

Like many other reviews I see here, this is a faulty product! We have had the GE Cafe Double Wall oven for just about 1 year and now the screen goes blank and is nonreactive. The graphics are there, but no selections or ability to navigate the screens. Again a case where the "bells and whistles" don't even work properly! I flipped the breaker for about 15 minutes and it is now working properly again, from what I can tell, but I expect this issue to reoccur. What a pain in the neck, I purchased GE Cafe because I had thought this was a reputable brand!! Very disappointing!
