I bought and returned it twice because each time the internal microphone did not work. It was a frustrating experience. The fact that you are sending me this request when I returned the computer troubles me. Your tech staff is great, so it is unfortunate that I don’t have an HP computer
The HP Envy 14 is a mixed bag. Decent enough build quality, but lacks a number of features that should be found for this price point, compared to other brands. The biggest issue is the battery life - it simply doesn't hold up anywhere near to the stated specs, even running with the screen dim and performance on low - I get maybe 4-5 hours doing basic productivity work. I would avoid this and hope they improve the product in 2023.
I give the HP Envy 14t 4.5 stars. Comparing price, construction, components and options, it is hard to beat. There are two "faults" that prevent me from awarding 5 stars. The first, and HP is not the only manufacturer who loses points here, is that the keyboard should be a contrasting color. In certain conditions you can not read the keys. The second flaw may have a work around that I'm not aware of. It is that many videos and streams are shown in letter box format (large black border above and below). A 14' screen is too small for that IMO. It neither of these "faults" concerns you, you can not find a better choice for a well built, powerful yet portable laptop.
This is a nice little laptop. It's lightweight and has a good keyboard design. With hindsight, I realize that I used, and now miss both the number pad and a touch screen, but the better portability outweighs those features. Heavy photo users, beware Windows 11, at least at this stage. There is a bug that makes it more difficult to scroll.
