The computer works spectacularly but the bloatware (like McAffee) was annoying to uninstall and undesirable, and the right click on the track pad has a "double click" feeling that is annoying. Otherwise, I hugely enjoy working and playing on this machine, thank you.
HP quality with great under hood specs and resultant performance. Display turned out to be an excellent component which was not anticipated since it was the entry level version. Very sharp, clear, and vibrant. Win11 is an added bonus. Works well and once the learning curve is conquered, actually a bit more intuitive and useful.
I purchased the 14-inch HP Envy to replace my decade-old 13-inch Mac AirBook. The Mac was running fine but with Apple discontinuing operating system support, when I attempted to upgrade the OS for the latest security patches the computer froze. In overall dimensions the two are basically the same, with the HP's screen a little larger and the battery lasts more than twice as long. The Apple was an I7(2)/8/256 while the HP is I7(10)/16/512 and is clearly much faster. The cost was almost exactly the same. In most ways they seem similar quality, although the HP's keyboard deflects a bit when I type, something the Apple's did not. The HP came with Windows 11, which is similar in user-friendliness to the Apple OS from a few years ago. So, for the first time since I bought an Apple IIe in 1987 I'm without an Apple product. Unfortunately some of the key software I run no longer runs on BootCamp or Parallels so the decision was easy. I'm growing to like the HP.
