Just Average
on April 13, 2022

This dishwasher is just average. Was installed with a broken door and doesn’t dry dishes well or remove food well. Also had made my silverware rust even though I immediately open the door to let the steam/hot air out once the cycle is done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback about this dishwasher. It definitely sounds as though we have missed the mark for you in terms of this dishwasher's performance, we are so sorry for the inconvenience.

Washing and drying performance can is reliant on a number of different factors. First, we would recommend verifying that the inlet water temperature is hot enough. This can be checked by running the faucet nearest the dishwasher on its hottest setting and verifying the temperature reaches at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit. If possible, be sure that "Hi temp wash" is selected. Also, be sure that you are using a high-quality dish detergent and rinse aid along with making sure that the filter is not clogged. More information and steps to improve performance are available on page 19-20 of the use and care manual, linked here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-4000218-1.pdf

As for the drying performance, we would recommend allowing the dishwasher to vent by keeping the door closed for up to 90 minutes after the cycle ends to allow the fan to run. This will result in noticeably dryer dishes.

For the issues with the door being broken and silverware, we would recommend scheduling an appointment with our factory service and repair team by calling 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET and Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET, or by visiting https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

We hope that you find this information helpful, and please feel free to reach out if there are any ways we can assist you in the future. -Elliot@GEA

Not a fan

To be fair it came with the build… brand new. I’m okay with washing dishes Howe gave it a whirl because you hear how it’s a money saver. It took over an hour to wash the dishes and I continued thinking how could this save money I asked my husband as it was the first time we used… so I intentionally timed it…too long… not many options in the wash cycle or load. I could’ve been done in 10-15 ninutes

Hello there - Thanks for posting a review on your dishwasher. We hate to hear that you aren't satisfied with the length of the cycles and we apologize. It is normal for many dishwashers to run for up to two hours or more under certain conditions. In recent years, there have been changes to federal water and energy efficiency guidelines which means dishwashers use less water and less energy to run. Dishwashers now run longer to ensure good wash performance but they use less energy while running. Also, by using less water, your water heater does not need to provide as much hot water and therefore is not using energy to heat more water.

Although we don't anticipate that you'll have any issues, know that we're always happy to help if anything comes up. Thanks again! -Mikayla@GEA
