Good Washer Just Mind the Racks

I’ve revised my review after a great customer experience with GE. I explained my rack rust situation to them and they helped me remedy it.
The rack this dishwasher came with rusted extremely fast due to coating getting rubbed off or nicked in certain areas. Since racks aren't made out of stainless steel, the coating is the only thing preventing the rack from rusting. Once it rubs off, the rust will spread quickly.
I ended up needing to get new racks, but the dishwasher itself works well. My dishes come out nice and clean. Can’t ask for much more.
GPT suggests the replacement racks may be a bit more robust than the originals, but I won’t know until I get them. I don’t know if any manufacturer is using stainless steel for racks, so I’m not sure if it’s really possible to evade this rack rust issue.
The only thing you can do is make sure you’re careful about what things you put in the dishwasher. Don’t buy sharply edged dishes and add caps to the rack pines to preserve the coating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not only does it have a large loading capacity and gets your dishes clean, this dishwasher offers a heavy wash, normal wash, and a 1-hour wash cycle for outstanding wash performance and clean dishes every time, every load size. Plus the Piranha hard food disposer with a removable filter has a stainless steel blade that rotates at 3,600 RPM, preventing large particles from clogging the wash arms and ensuring consistently clean dishes!

Great with one drawback

Keeps Falling off the Racks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could give this a better review but there are several problems with this dishwasher. 1) The lower rack falls off the rack basically every time you pull it out. 2) Some of the vertical wires that hold dishes have already rusted and broken down 3) Makes a lot of noise. 4) For dishes to come out fully dry you must use rinse aid. It has fairly good capacity.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We recommend pulling the rack from the middle, and following the loading tips that start on page 11 of your manual; that’s linked here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--EszXjA26--/2ee1c206fc195cd1717cedf8b41e2ab95579670c.pdf. These steps will help the rack to stay balanced and on the tracks. Following the loading tips may help with the sound level as well. More information about sound is available on page 22 of your manual.
We do recommend using rinse agent to help with the drying performance. If you think there’s an issue with the drying performance, troubleshooting tips are available on page 20 of your manual. Among other tips, we recommend ensuring the water temperature is at least 120°F.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Washes ok as l9ng as you scrub everything before it goes in. I have used 4 different detergents and use vinegar regularly. The face plastic for the buttons is already com8ng apart after less than 3 months.

Decent Dishwasher for Builder Grade

The lightweight construction and plastic components, especially racks, raise durability concerns for me long term. Cleaning performance is ok but the drying cycle leaves dishes and other objects wet. To me it has a noisy operation that disrupts conversation or other in an open kitchen environment.

We have some information about your dishwasher to help with the dry performance and the sounds you can expect to hear. Water entering the dishwasher needs to be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. We recommend running the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting it to purge cold water from the hot water line. Additionally, you will want to check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promotes drying by causing water to sheet off of dishware and glassware. Also, using the available heat options on your dishwasher will improve drying performance. Good dishwasher for couples or small families

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This dishwasher has a 1 hour cycle that I love. It cleans in less time. It is so quiet that after the initial click that happens at the start you hear nothing. The inside capacity makes it easy for a days worth of dishes.
