Dishwasher door is not durable
on January 9, 2026

I had not used the dishwasher once and it was already broken from a new home purchase with installed appliances I have asked the builder and GE about returning it and unable to The service warranty has replaced the part in question which is the top part of the door that is a separate plastic piece that has little plastic tabs that hold it in place not even screws It is the worst dishwasher I have ever seen it's where you pull to open it and it completely pulls apart the top panel they should have never designed it this way as it should be an all in one piece with an actual handle
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst dishwasher ever!

Racks are very flimsy. Bottom rack doesn’t fit properly, so it will not slide in and out on the tracks. Wheel broke off after a few months. Some dishes do not get clean.

the bottom rack falls off the track all the time, very annoying
Response from geappliances.comBy TierraGE_AppliancesJanuary 16, 2026
We are happy to lend a hand with the bottom rack of your dishwasher falling off the track. We recommend pulling the rack out directly from the center of the rack instead of the side. See the video below for guidance:

Within first year of use, we had a tech out 3 times. Within 2 years of use, the racks have rust and the handle cracked. This product is not worth the money. I am going back to LG for best quality.

Not pleased

It’s quiet but is not efficient at cleaning at all. I’m amazed at how well the old one cleaned and am not happy with having to run things through twice and still having to hand wash afterwards.

We'd like to assist with your dishwasher's cleaning performance. The first step we recommend is to make sure the dishwasher is connected to the hot water line and not to the cold water line. None of our dishwashers can heat cold water so that it is hot enough to wash effectively.
If the water supply is properly installed, the next step would be to check the water temperature. Proper water temperature is essential to achieve optimum results from your dishwasher and the detergent. Hot water is needed to dissolve and activate the detergent so that it can loosen and remove food soils. The hot water heater should be set to deliver at least 120 degrees Fahrenheit water to the dishwasher. My dishwasher is only three years old and both racks are already rusted so bad that arms are falling off. Also the metal tip to the lower water alarm was found in the trap because it fell off the arm. is it worth replacing the racks or would I be better off purchasing another machine from a different manufacturer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
