Hi there. Your review and comments are greatly appreciated. We apologize if your dishwasher has not lived up to its name and know how disappointing this can be with a new appliance. The interior is a heavy-duty plastic that is extremely long-lasting, durable and has an American Gray finish.
If the door is not closing well, please check out this very helpful article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=38904 We recommend checking the leveling of the dishwasher as it is new. If not leveled properly, the door may not close easily or the racks may roll forward against the door, making it hard to close. Leveling instructions can be found on page 10 of the installation manual here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-4000220-4.pdf
We hope this helps and you stay in touch. - John@GEA

Rust or something on door front.

There is a mark on front. Of dishwasher. I was told by builder it couldn’t be rust because it is stainless steel. Ok not sure what it is then but it will not come off.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Typical Contractor-Grade
on November 8, 2021
Posted by: DJ BA
from Middletown, DE
Only used the dishwasher for about a month, and control panel wouldn't work. Had to turn the breaker off and on to do a new load. Repairman said the plastic was already warping, causing the door contact to not meet properly. Very cheap dishwasher, but it was the contractor-grade model that came with the house. This will likely be the first appliance we replace, since it probably won't last much more than a year.

We apologize for the results you are getting. Water entering the dishwasher should be between 120 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit for best wash and dry performance. Run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. Check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids prevent spots on glasses and promote drying by causing water to sheet off dishware and glassware. Rinse aids such as Jet-Dry® can be purchased in your local grocery store. If service is needed after checking these items then please call 1-800-432-2737.Hope this helps. We understand your frustration. Geoff@GEA
