Awful appliance

This product was extremely poorly constructed and the bottom section is very difficult to pull out and push in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to assist with your dishwasher's lower rack being difficult to pull out. The most common cause of the rack being hard to remove is either a hard water mineral build-up or a build-up of detergent residue. Soap residue can cause the wheels or rack slides to start to stick so that they don't roll properly. Using a rinse agent can help minimize the build-up of detergent and hard water minerals on your dishes and on the interior of the dishwasher. Additionally, you'll want to use high quality detergents such as Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. Avoid This Model.

Washer is barely 2 years old and has died. It has limited washing cycles. Another negative is just how loud this dishwasher is compared to other models in the same price range. The controls are not intuitive and limit selections. The capacity is also on the lower side because of the tray configuration. Also had to replace a rusted out tray in the first year of use (was covered by warranty) The only positive I can think of is the power consumption, outside of the heating element it is fair where energy consumption us concerned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Smelly

I don’t even know if it’s clean. It’s all plastic inside and out. Came with the house. It’s smelly makes the dishes smell like chemicals. I’ve ran it a few times, thoroughly cleaned it. Idk what’s up with it it’s the plastic on the inside I believe.

The processes used during manufacturing often may leave a "newness" odor that may not dissipate until after several washing cycles. This condition is completely normal. Dish washer doesn't work

Installed dish washer in new house - went to turn it on and it doesn't work. Called GE and they can't get anyone out to even look at it until next month.

I discovered that this dish washer came new but it has a missing screws where the upper hose assembly connects to the top spinner. Also, the top spinner assembly clip has been broken off and could not be held in.
