Worst dishwasher ever!
on April 17, 2026
Posted by: Chloebaby
This is the very worst dishwasher I have ever owed in my 47 years of life. It doesn’t clean well and does not dry the dishes at all. Never has since day one. Black mold grows in abundance. Do not buy this model.

Dishwasher works well, but the racks have rusted and broken apart. Now I can’t really load the dishwasher since it can’t hold my dishes.

Machine itself is good. The dish racks in the other hand are awful. They started rusting after just a few uses.

We’re glad you appreciate the dishwasher’s capacity, and we’d like to address the issues you’re having. Regarding the racks coming off the tracks, we recommend ensuring there’s no visible damage to the track or rollers and following the loading tips that are available starting on page 11 of the manual; that’s linked here: https://images.salsify.com/image/upload/s--EszXjA26--/2ee1c206fc195cd1717cedf8b41e2ab95579670c.pdf.
For the issue with the door not always closing, we suggest making sure nothing is physically blocking the door from closing and there’s no visible damage to the latch.
The issue with the door not always closing may be affecting the dishwasher’s ability to start normally. We recommend disconnecting the dishwasher from power for a couple of minutes before reconnecting, to reset it; this may help with the issue with the unit not starting. Additional tips about what to try when the dishwasher won’t run normally are available on page 21 of the manual.
If you aren’t able to solve these issues with troubleshooting and think service is needed, our Bodewell team is available at 1-833-426-3393. They are open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 8PM ET, and an appointment can be scheduled online as well, at this link: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service. A technician would be glad to examine the dishwasher.
We’ll also be reaching out over email to discuss your situation further. Please respond at your earliest convenience, so we can assist.

Flimsy
on April 23, 2026

This dishwasher was installed in our new Lennar home. We also had it in the rental we were in prior to buying our own home in the same development. It cleans okay. That’s all I can say that’s good. It’s flimsy, one of the prongs is already loose and flopping. It’s not well put together. My grown son called it “a toy”. The inside gets a white film on it from the hard water. Have to rinse it out with white vinegar. It came with the house. I would never buy this unit if I had a choice.

We'd like to offer tips for removing the white residue from the interior and offer assistance with the prong.
The white film or residue you are noticing can be caused by phosphate-free dishwasher detergent. Detergents without phosphates can potentially leave a white film on glassware and other items, even the tub itself. This white film is most often observed in hard water areas. We recommend checking out our full removal guide here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=16245.
Our products are designed with durability in mind, and we use high-quality materials to manufacture our appliances. If you are experiencing any issues with a part of the dishwasher, we recommend scheduling an appointment with one our Bodewell technicians. To make an appointment with one of our Bodewell technicians, please call 1-833-4BODEWELL or visit this site: https://www.bodewell.com/schedule-repair-service.
