Touch up is great!

I always owned basic units (turn it on, turn it off). I could not be happier investing in the Electrolux and more importantly it just works. And it works well while doing so quietly.

Multiple Issues - Electrolux Front Load Gas Dryer

I recently purchased the Electrolux - Front Load Perfect Steam Gas Dryer and I've after only 1 week I've already had 2 separate problems with it. The first was the back grate that hot air comes into the dryer via got so hot it melted a polyester lap blanket and now all the little holes from the grating are visible on the blanket, like a burn mark. I had selected the normal try setting. So there's no reason that back piece of metal in the dryer should have gotten that hot.
The second issue I experienced was the lint collector somehow got pulled out of its track during a dry cycle, got stuck on a screw, and become lodged at an angle. This is an obvious design flaw if in the course of clothes going around in a circle during a tumble dry that it can catch an edge of the lint collector, pull it up out of its resting position, then wedge it against the screw in it's slide track.

Doing the laundry is a breeze!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Electrolux front load gas dryer, paired with the washer, make an elegantly-designed pair that fit perfectly into our custom laundry area which has existing vent/electrical/plumbing hookups and folding panel doors that require specific installation. The dryer's capacity and ability to adjust to any fabric and load size is amazing. Most helpful to us is the swap functionality of the front-loading door on gas dryer, which had to be installed on the left of the washer (see photo) so both are opened from the center. With both machines on pedestals this configuration makes loading and transferring the wash into the dryer super simple. At 5'4" I used to stand on tiptoe to empty the old top-loading washer (without a pedestal), inevitably dropping smaller items or overlooking them in the drum. The machine settings respond to any kind of wash and dry load, along with further options to change temps, rinse, and duration of the cycle as needed. The washer adjusts the water levels automatically to the size of the load. The large storage capability of the pedestals puts supplies in handy reach while keeping them orderly and out of sight when not needed. That plus allowing you to stand while using the machines makes the pedestals an essential component.

Great features

Slow

The clothes come out of the dryer soft and fluffy. But the normal cycle on the dryer takes so long! Meanwhile the wash piles up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If the cycle time is taking longer, I recommend making sure the exhaust duct requirements have been met and the outside exhaust hood or exhaust duct isn't clogged or restricted. Exhaust duct must be at least 4 inches in diameter and made of
