Great grill, terrible shipping and super late

Great grill, huge hassle with shipping company. Get a different shipping company, SEKO is the worst! I only got my grill because I went to their warehouse and picked it up 9 days after its expected delivery date. They were going to make me wait another 3 days, that’s when I decide to drive 40 mins and get it myself.

Hello! Congratulations on your new grill! Your Genesis II should reach about 500-550 degrees with all the burners set to High (9 o'clock position), and the lid closed within 10 to 15 minutes. If that's not the case, you may be activating a safety device built into the regulator. This safety device is a component of all LP gas regulators and is designed to reduce the flow of gas in the event of a leak.

You can inadvertently activate the safety device without having a gas leak. Typically, this occurs if you do not wait a sufficient time between opening the tank valve and the burner control knobs or if one or more of the burner control knobs is in an open position when opening the LP tank valve.
When the safety device has been activated the grill is referred to as being in “bypass”.

To ensure that you are not inadvertently activating the safety device as you turn on the grill, please use the following procedure:

-Turn all burner control knobs to OFF, including the side burner control knob.

-Make sure the grill lid is open. Open the LP tank valve and then wait at least 60 seconds. This will allow the hose and regulator to pressurize.

-Turn the first burner control knob to the START/HIGH position and then ignite the grill by pushing the ignition button.

-Turn each of the other burner control knobs to high, one at a time, and press the igniter button until all the burners have been lit.

-Close the grill lid.

-The grill should reach approximately 500 to 550 degrees in 10-15 minutes.

If that's not the case, please contact us at support@weberstephen.com, and we will troubleshoot further.

Thank you!

Good BBQ with QC problems made in China

Excellent BBQ design. We thought we were buying US made and is why we paid 2x more but now I read that the Genesis II is made in China. Missing a brass bushing that I fixed with two nuts. Directions to assemble good. Missing two holes for side burner. Needs better quality control. It’s still a good BBQ but I won’t buy another one since it’s made in China

We love the grill... but not the clean-up. The grease trap inside the cabinet, under the grill just doesn't work! The grease splashes all over the shelf and a lot of the dripping grease misses the little tray all together. We had a huge mess off the shelf running down a back leg and pooling on the patio. Yuck! We had to go buy a much larger foil pan and clean the shelf every time we use the grill. Not convenient at all! It cooks great... but the maintenance is not what we expected for the money we spent.

Hello, and congratulations on your new grill! We would recommend making sure that the grease tray has been pushed in all the way. However, dripping grease on the side table is not uncommon on newer grills. This is because the inner surfaces of the lid are very smooth. Over time, carbonized grease will build-up inside the lid and prevent this from happening. Thank you!

I grill about 6 days a week in the Summer and 4 to 5 in the Winter,. Winter is the issue for me. I would like to see Weber put higher exterior panels around the back and sides to keep rain and snow from going inside the unit. A cover due to my amount of usage just doesn't seem convenient. Other than that it's a great grill, except they might consider a little more detailed gas cook book with more meats like they had in the Genesis Silver.

Hi, We also recommend changing the tank, it can have a bad gasket. Can you please send us a picture of your tank gasket at reviews@weberstephen.com, that way we can help you troubleshoot. Thank you!
