Have used the grill several times, it will not heat over 400 degrees. Tried the 60 second prime and still no searing heat for steaks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi, We also recommend changing the tank, it can have a bad gasket. Can you please send us a picture of your tank gasket at reviews@weberstephen.com, that way we can help you troubleshoot. Thank you!
Finally decided to upgrade from my 25 year old Genesis 4000, that still runs pretty well. I've only had three cooks so far, but this E-435, that I upgraded with the SS grates, does the job in spades. The high temps, and fast temp recovery really is a great boost in performance.
I am a little concerned about some of the reports of rusting and longevity, so I'm going to keep a close eye on it. That 10 year warranty sure helps to sooth those concerns. I'm not sure if this one with the sheet metal frame will last 25 years too, but time will tell. I'm hoping for the same long and reliable performance I got out of the 4000.
Love my new grill. We grill about three nights a week and I am very happy. One issue the burner on the far left takes about 2 or 3 times to light. Other than that we are very pleased.
Great product that works well. Assembly more difficult than necessary because there are no written instructions to refine the picture only assembly instructions. I’m 73. I’m handy with tools and do most of my own repairs and have an advanced collegiate education and passed the CPA exam. Not bragging. Making a point that if I got a relatively simple assembly wrong for a product from a manufacturer that I’ve bought 5 grills from throughout my life that others may also find difficulty. Got two parts on backward, corrected one but didn’t notice the second till I went to look for the serial # and I’m not tearing the grill apart to fix it. Some accountant did this to save money and not have multiple sets of directions in different languages and I now have a lower opinion and trust in the company. Probably won’t live long enough to buy another one (had the last one 30 years) but I’d recommend downloadable additional written instructions for those of us that still read. The pictures are a great help but not good enough alone.
I hesitated for years to make this purchase, didn't think the Weber could be that much better than the cheap ones.... after one week of daily use, now I see why! Such good quality all around. And that Build app made assembly actually fun.
