The sear burner isn't working. I sent an email to Genesis for assistance but have yet to hear a response.

Its a great grill but I still have a problem with the here. It seems to get hot enough but the temperature gauge is not registering the heat. It has been replaced twice but still not working.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So disappointed in the quality of this product! Got this as a Father's Day Gift and had 2 damaged pieces out of the box. After 2.5 hours on hold and a wasted Saturday I was able to get the parts replaced within about a week.
However, during the first use of this, I smelled and heard gas leaking. I confirmed this by using a soapy water mixture, which resulted in bubbles. I reconnected it numerous times, but it is definitely leaking from the Weber part...not the tank. Now it's back to not being able to use this grill until I get more parts....assuming I can get customer service to help in a quick way.
The fact that this grill is 2-3x as expensive as most, the initial experience has been very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Regulator failed within a year. Otherwise it operates satisfactory.

Quality not the same as a 15 year old Weber Gas Grill that this new Genesis II replaced !
