The ability to conrol temperatures in zones accross the grill surface is amazing. I have been able to grill vegetables at temperatures that do no char them to oblivion. I added the iGrill temperature option and grilled a high end restaurant quality chateaubriand to perfection. Corn on the cob and burgers are much better than our best restaurant experiences. I am looking forward to cooking a pork loin on the rotisserie today.
We love this grill. The consistent temperature is a huge improvement over our last grill. It gets a lot hotter than we were used to so having to learn to cook a little differently. But for the better!
This grill is everything I had hoped it would be. No issues with drip-pan fires or excessive flare-ups like I had with my older budget grill. Very even heating, great sear, and the grates clean easily. This grill really pumps out the BTUs. My recommendation to new buyers it to make sure you have at least 2 tanks, one hooked-up to the grill and a full tank on standby. The high BTU-out uses a fair bit of gas. I use the grill 3-4 days/wk and a tank usually lasts me 3 weeks.
So far so good, just starting using this beast. Probably the most cooking area of any grill I have ever owned, so good for a gang. Very good getting to high temp, (600-650), seems well insulated so stays hot, extra searing function/burner works well. Not sure I like SS grill grates, (standard) but otherwise nice piece of equipment.
