Overall I like my new grill. I bought this grill first and foremost because of the reliability, availability or parts and reputation of the Weber name. I like the easy access of the propane tank and that it contains the necessary features without the fancy gizmos that never work after six month. I miss my the porcelain coated cast iron grates of my previous grill but to be fair what I like about my new Weber Geneses II was missing in my last grill. It's taken a few months to get use to it but the heat distribution and intensity from low to very hot and is very good. I also appreciate the extra shelf for storage.
I have had this grill for about a month now and have cooked steak, chicken, sausage, salmon and pizza. I also cook vegetables including peppers, mushrooms, onion, and corn on the cob. Each and every item has come out perfectly. The sear station is amazing, the grill heats up quickly and the heat is evenly distributed across all areas. I replaced an older genesis model and I couldn't be happier
We just purchased this barbecue about a month ago and I’m in love with it. It has been improved by leaps and bounds since my 17 year Weber grill. It is much easier to use and once you understand how to use all the burners to cook various ways, you’re grilling like a master!
We bought this grill to replace our 3 burner that is 13 yrs old. The old grill still operated fine but wasn't big enough when we had company over. This nee grill is a perfect size and cooks quick and evenly across the entire cooking area. I follow the cooking recommendation on the weber app for this grill and it is amazing. The food comes out perfect everytime.
Overall grill seems ok so far. Some design features seem not thought out. 1. Place to hang tools on the side rather than in front like old Weber. Very annoying on this grill. 2. Worst feature: silver metal sides where you would put plates down become very hot in the sun. They reflect heat. On the old grills it was some kind of fake wood which worked fine. Not hot. Also, they scratch easily and show the scratches. Incredibly poorly thought through. I received this grill as a gift to replace old Weber. Would not have purchased it myself because side panels not practical. 3. Igrill 3 so far doesn't work as advertised. I have a direct feed propane line to grill, not a propane tank. I don't see how the igrill shuts off the flame when food reaches the right temperature.
Sorry to be negative. I guess sometimes newer is not always better.
