I bought this two months ago in an effort to upgrade my old warehouse gas grill. This grill has exceeded all my expectations. It’s dirty well-built and able. The addition of the griddle has upped my outdoor grilling game to a whole new level.
For a portable grill this is the best! High quality materials, plenty of flexibility utililizing six different burners. The app is great to use as well. The grilling recipes are spot on. It is so good looking and functional, I am proud to show this grill off to my friends and family. My only complaint was the not so perfectly designed angles of the gas line regulator and hose that made it difficult to put together. Once I tweaked that into place it's been perfect. You can't go wrong buying this grill!
I bought my grill over five months ago and it starts every time all the time. Despite being outside, my grill still looks like new. Great workmanship. Happy customer here!
This is my 3rd. Weber gas grill. This new giant does everything I want in a grill. Can easily create cool areas to keep things warm or to slow cook foods just by turning off 2 of the 4 burners. Right next to the cool area, I turn the next 2 burners on high with the sear burner in between for producing excellent sear marks and perfectly grilled steaks. No need for the cast Iron sear grate accessory anymore. And while I'm grilling steaks and vegies, I'm using the side burner with a cast iron skillet to prepare mushrooms in an onion garlic sauce. 2 things: The grill needs a better control of the side burner to turn down the heat to low/ very low so foods can simmer. Right now the lowest setting is much too hot. Also would like to see some steel cemented behind the stainless steel front areas so magnetic hooks can be used.
I just purchased the grill about a month ago and do enjoy the grill -and the fact that it heats up so quickly. One issue - for this kind of money, I would have expected a nicer looking cover for the propane tank. It sits open - they could have easily had some kind of additional plate to cover it.
I have bar-b-qued all my life, with only a weber kettle grill using briquettes and oak wood.
I now live where we will have snow in winter...so I turned to the ‘dark’ side and turned to a natural gas weber.
The first time I fired up the unit to use...I could feel the lid close and the ‘seal’ of the balanced / yet Heavy construction of the unit told me I had control of the heat for the grill(s), which is one of the most important things while cooking on a grill.
Easy to use, easy to clean the grills when done; I could not be happier with the Genesis 4 Stainless Steel Natural Gas unit.
Overall I like my new grill. I bought this grill first and foremost because of the reliability, availability or parts and reputation of the Weber name. I like the easy access of the propane tank and that it contains the necessary features without the fancy gizmos that never work after six month. I miss my the porcelain coated cast iron grates of my previous grill but to be fair what I like about my new Weber Geneses II was missing in my last grill. It's taken a few months to get use to it but the heat distribution and intensity from low to very hot and is very good. I also appreciate the extra shelf for storage.
