Looks amazing and is huge! Certainly doesn’t light on the first push. Also has cold spots. Surprised, as Weber is not known for these issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear about the igniting issues and cold spots, please remember to let your grill preheat on high with the lid closed for 15 minutes then continue grilling with the lid closed, timing when you need to flip your food! Really happy with the power (this is propane model) and eveness which makes grilling consistent. Like the searing function as well. Probably an overlooked benefit is how easily the parts that get really dirty come apart. The grease handling is well designed and channels all dripping into a single desposable location. Plus, you can really clean off everything right down to the burners with little hassles -- so, its not a real chore to keep your grill reasonably clean everytime you grill.

I’ve always had these visions of how I wanted to cook certain foods on the grill. My lack in grill quality, having purchased the dept. store specials every couple years, made that near impossible. Now though... I can cook everything from whole chickens to sea scallops exactly how I want to.
This grill works exactly how I expect a grill to work and on top of that a bottle of propane last considerably longer than all previous grills I’ve owned.
