Wow, but surprised by some aspects

The first 435 was delivered and the side burner and one of the main burners did not light. It took nearly 2 months to replace it as none are available in the market. When the new one came it had some damage to it that likely happened during assembly. This caused me too take a look at the screws and was surprised to see many plastic screws on such a heavy grill. My last one lasted 10 years and hope this one as well.
I think that the design of the drip tray in the center of the top shelf substantially reduces the value of the shelf.
I also think that the side cover for the propane tank is underwhelming for such a grill
The grill itself is fantastic and seems much more powerful than my previous weber.

Looks amazing and is huge! Certainly doesn’t light on the first push. Also has cold spots. Surprised, as Weber is not known for these issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great so far
Challenging environment oceanfront
When not windy it’s great
On windy days challenging to get temp high even with cover down
One minor design flaw
Propane tank is exposed when connected rather than inside of the stand assembly
Just a bit of an eyesore looking at the ugly tank
Easy fix for Weber on the next generation
Just put a door and enclosed space for propane tank
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am still learning how to grill on this particular model. So far it has been good. I do think at the price of this grill that the i grill should be included so you don't have to keep opening the lid to check meat temp. Also, the tank guage does not appear to be at all accurate.

I love my new grill! I’m an avid griller and have been through several grills. From the very beginning this grill stood out! The air tight seal when the hood was down and the sear station really stood out! Overall the gauge of steel is superior to cheaper grills.

Long overdue upgrade!

This is the 4th Weber I have owned. This replaced my first Weber, the 2 burner 2009 Spirit e210 that I rec'd as a Father's Day gift. I purchased a similar 3 burner Spirit for our Summer home, and a smaller portable Weber for tailgating. Having said that I desperately needed more grill space when cooking, the e210 wasn't nearly enough. After some looking I wanted to upgrade and thought if I am getting more grill I should go all the way and get 4 burners. I have zero regrets, especially for the $100price difference. The grill has performed excellent on each occaison I have used it. Sear station and side burner are welcome additions to the grill options. Online/virtual directions were really easy to use (especially the ability to rotate and zoom for a closer look). How many times have you wished you could do that with paper instructions. It wasn't cheap, but if you take reasonable care of it, a Weber will last you YEARS.
Overall I am very happy with my grill. If I had any complaints it would be I prefer 4 casters instead of 2, I think the burners are hotter toward the back of the grill, and the side burner doesn't go low enough to just warm/simmer.
I would recommend this to a friend!
