My last Weber was still working great and was over 18 years old. I decided to treat myself to a new one. This grill is a monster and works great. I had 2 grills I used to use because when the family comes over there are 17 of us. I gave my old weber and extra grill to my son and now use just this one.
we bought this grill a month ago for our new home. We are thrilled with the grill- it cooks evenly, is so large we can fit all our food for large barbeques with family and friends!!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Over the years I have owned 6 Weber grills from the lest expensive to the top of the line and they all grill great. I prefer the stainless steel because it is easier to clean.
I've had the Weber grill for a couple months now after retiring a 20 year old Vermont Castings bbq. So far the grill has been everything I'd expect from a high end name such as Weber. Gets tremendously hot very quickly and the sear burner area works as advertised.
After a bit of a wait, my grill finally arrived. The new burner design delivers consistent heat as promised. The sear center is great for that perfect char. Plenty of extra space for my smoker box. Lastly, the swing away top grill is the best design feature of anything other grills offer. Looking forward to many grilling experiences.
We purchased this grill about a month ago and are very pleased thus far. I actually built it myself in approximately two hours and found it to be doable by one person (assuming you can lift the main hood yourself). Since firing it up for the first time we have enjoyed burgers, steaks, chicken, sausages, corn, etc and loved every bite so far.
A few notable things I would mention as of one month into owning the grill: 1) The ignition system is working flawlessly so far...I am always concerned about the igniters going out on gas grills and having to break out the matches to start. Fingers crossed this igniter will stand the time test. 2) The stainless is proving very easy to clean so far...it's literally all stainless steel and very 'professional kitchen grade' in it's appearance. Hopefully that luster and shine will continue for many years. 3) The stainless grates are awesome! We are diligent about cleaning between uses, and they continue to shine bright as a result. 4) Having the doors enclosing down below is so clutch for us, since we have two dogs they are unable to get into the grease collector pan. Having the protected enclosure has also made my wife happy as nearly all of my grilling tools and accessories are now stowed under the grill and not in the kitchen. 5) Definitely buy the weber light! It mounts onto the handle and only turns on when the hood is open...no more bringing out a flashlight or using my phone to tell just how done the meat is! Truly worth every penny.
As I continue to break the grill in I will check back in to advise if any further learnings present themselves, but for now we are happy as clams with this Genesis II!
