Nice model

The one thing I didn't like about my old Kenmore was in the two years I owned it (it came with the house and was only 4 years old) I had to replace the icemaker twice. It still threw cubes into the inside of the freezer.
I specifically didn't want the icemaker on the inside of the door and this one's was in the back of the freezer.
I didn't realize I would lose freezer space with it inside, but the ice stays in the bin.
I had one problem when I emptied the bin and turned it off when I went on vacation. I thought I had pushed the bin all the way in, but I didn't. The buzzer didn't ring, but it pushed the door a little the broke the gasket seal and everything had melted when I got home. I had to throw everything away.
On a more recent, and longer vacation, I made sure the bin was pushed in all the way and there were no meltdowns.
The only ongoing problem is the top snap on shelf on the freezer door won't go on properly.
The manual had no instructions on the use of the bottom Sealed Pan. I called GE. I use it to keep vegetables, meat and other things fresh longer than on a shelf or in the vegetable bin.
Otherwise, I like this model
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is operating very well. The lock feature for water dispenser is a very good idea.

GE makes great long lasting products

Had a GE Profile from 1994, and replaced it with this unit. This one is more energy efficient and bigger inside, same external dimensions. The old one was 26.6 cubic ft.
I like the 10 pound ice capacity. Sweet!
The LED lights make it very bright inside.
I really like the turbo mode for quickly cooling down the unit. Great idea - very useful if you buy a lot of food at one time.
The water filter is a nice touch . . .
Very nice appearance, very bright. The stainless looks great, but you still have the conventional dark side material that you can still use magnets on. Best of all worlds!
The refrigerator door shelves can hold gallon jugs. Too kewl fer werds :)
I am amazed just how reliable GE appliances are. Last one was 21 years old and running strong like bull.

I've had this for 2 weeks and can already tell it's going to cool better than my old new refrigerator! Love the led lights down the sides and how much more room I have!
