Worst Refrigerator/Stove I have ever purchased

Do not buy! My ice maker broke within the first year due to plastic parts. It has broken a second time and is no longer covered under warranty. Cheaply made with plastic parts. The freezer shelves are not wide enough and I can barely put a carton of ice-cream on the shelf without the shelf falling down. Same goes with the other freezer shelves. Horrible product! Flat cooktop scratches very easily when using clean pots/pans. I will never purchase a GE product again!

Nice Refrigerator Ice Maker doesnt Work

We loved GE before this refrigerator and when we wanted to buy a new one we of course went to GE. The Profile has nice storage inside. the Freezer is a little small but that is okay. The programmable features are a plus.
However there is a design flaw in the ice maker. They have replaced the refrigerator three times and each time the water valve breaks after 1 month of use.
We are replacing this applicance with another manufacturer
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Serviced 3 times in the last 4 years.
We had GE out for repairs 3 weeks ago. The part needed WR55X23031 cannot be found.

Cheap and Falls Apart

This fridge has been the cheapest by far. The plastic shelves and door inserts fall apart too easily. Ice maker barely produces any ice, had to purchase a separate ice maker just to have sufficient ice. The door and handles show everything, every finger print and touch. You can’t keep it clean at all. Small space and just doesn’t serve as a good fridge.

I've always had GE refrigerators, but when we remodeled our kitchen recently, we switched to a different very popular brand because we liked one of the fancy features of the other refrigerator. Big mistake. Not only did this other refrigerator not have adjustable shelves (what!!), it did not have a deli drawer or butter cubby in the door. These are things I just expected refrigerators to have! Also - the tray beneath the water and ice could not be removed to clean or replace down the road. Water marks!!! Even though the other refrigerator was a very large capacity, I found it difficult to fit many things in because the shelves were spaced apart so far. Many of the items in my fridge are short, so there was a lot of unused vertical space. After also running into problems with the other refrigerator, the dealer agreed that we could trade it for a GE Profile. I am so happy now. This refrigerator is laid out so nicely, that everything I have fits. The lighting is really bright and covers the entire fridge. The surfaces are easy to clean. I just love it. The only complaint I have is that the exterior stainless surface is difficult to keep looking nice. I have to use stainless cleaner on it every couple days. You can't just wipe it with a wet cloth - it smears badly. Other than that, I'm a very happy camper. And after having experience with another popular brand, I can speak from experience - stick with GE - you are not missing anything with the other brands.

We had high hopes for this refrigerator, unfortunately it has been disappointing.
The Pros:
LED lighting
Deep door shelves which provide easy access.
The Cons:
There is a freeze spot in the refrigerator compartment located on the back wall/middle. If you place your food too close, watch out...it's going to freeze.
The bins in the freezer compartment do not stay on the tracks.We had to call service and they sent some spacers which were supposed to fix the problem. Sorry, they don't work. First the bins, now the shelves in the freezer compartment are coming off the tracks as well.

This side by side has a HUGE ice maker!!!

We are thrilled with our new side by side stainless refrigerator. Initially confused by all the brands, the salesman informed us that the GE Profile Ice Maker in this particular fridge was the biggest. WOW was he right! I just had a party with 30 people and everyone was able to get ice for drinks all night! Used to have bags in coolers. Not anymore! Salesman also said across all the brands, GE has the best service department, with trucks and trained technicians always available to come to your door. Some other Korean brands do not have good service, nor their own service team. No Brainer! GE, Welcome to my HOME!!!

Good size, everything works fine. Slight dents in upper corners which delivery personnel said was due to how it was made. I'm starting not to believe that.
