Not for efficiency apartments

Pros: good looking. Doors have good space racks. Storage is good. Shelves are easy to use.
Cons: makes snapping and popping noises from evaporator coil and other mechanisms at irregular times. If you are frying to sleep in same room, forget it. Doors do not open as wide as older models. Door storage compartments warmer than main area. Towards top of door, enough to be a bit of concern. Ice vendor speed ice shards. Water filter has to high replacement cost. GE needs to offer a bypass module to fit in.

Great ice maket

Purchased because my prior refrigerator passed away. Did allot of analysis on refrigerators and thought this one would fit our needs the best and pricing after discount made it more affordable. Only 2 of us in house now so this machine is fine for us, however if u have a family u probably should go bigger.

Build quality is excellent. Doors closed solid. Three drawer design is nice feature. Besides setting the temperature it also displays the internal temperature of fridge/freezer sections.

Nice refrigerator

I like that it produces lots of ice; French door fridges don't. The ice sometimes overflows out of the ice bin and spills to lower shelves. Shelves don't go to back wall so items can fall to lower shelves. Door shelves are not easily adjustable

Disappointed For the First Time

I have owned GE appliances for 30 years plus. This refrigerator however is a big disappointment. Terrible lighting. Once you fill the freezer side your lighting is greatly diminished since all of the lighting is in the rear of the freezer. In the refrigeration section do not put any glass in the sections on the top of the door. (Usually where you might put a butter dish) The door can fly open and all of it's contents end up on your floor. Broken glass dish and all. The produce drawer sections are very small and hold very little. The refrigeration itself does a superb job and items stay fresh for a very long time. I will not purchase a GE refrigerator again after using this model.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
