We bought this GE Profile new 2 years ago for the ice maker capacity, first the ice started clumping together, now the ice dispenser is frozen and won’t rotate to dispense ice out the door and recently the freezer light has gone out
Very disappointed and we have had GE refrigerator’s before

Cold, but loud

It keeps stuff cold, so it's better than my old profile, but it's not as good.
For one, the ice-maker is LOUD as heck. I can hear it over the TV while I'm on a different floor. My old profile wasn't as loud.
Second, the door ALWAYS slams open - you try to open the fridge a bit, there's no middle-ground, it's either closed, or ALL THE WAY open, and when it opens all the way, even if it swings gently, it still SLAMS after opening all the way. My old fridge didn't do this.
The LED lights inside are ugly.
Last but not least - they got rid of the ability to dispense a specific amt of water, like 2 cups, or 16 oz. I used this feature SO MUCH!!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very Quiet!

This GE Profile side-by-side fridge definitely deserves Consumer Report's highest rating in it's class! Extremely quiet and the filtered water tastes very similar to high quality spring water. Worth every dollar!

It took me 14 months to get my refrigerator……I got the other appliances in a few months….I haven’t had the refrigerator long but so far I am very happy with it.

Doubled my power bill!

In the month that I've had it, my power bill has doubled! I can't think of any other change that's happened other than getting a new fridge. :-/

This model is basically an updated version

This model is basically the updated version of the refrigerator it's replacing. This updated version is much better than the previous version (15 years old). It has brighter LED lighting, a much better ice making and storage bin, it is much quieter than the previous version and a stainless-steel front. it seems bigger inside even though it and our version are about the same size. We like it very much.

Good looking, great features, large capacity

Took awhile for it to become available with the supply chain issues, but worth the wait.
PRO:
28 cu ft is awesome, very large in door compartments
Ice maker is fast and large capacity
Well lit with LED lighting
Sleek stainless steel finish
Seems solid and well built

CON:
Ice dispenser drops a lot of cubes very fast - don't use a fragile glass!
No back light in the control panel so you have to turn on the lights to read the control labels
No door compartment dividers like other models
No egg holder (I may reuse the one from my old fridge) but an 18-egg carton fits in the dairy compartment in the door.
