Quiet and dependable so far

We looked for a side by side that got some good reviews. We are very happy that we purchased this one. No problems so far. Other reviewers said Ice Machine was slow or noisy. We have not had any of those problems. Love the fingerprint free stainless. We had a 15 year old other brand that was great but finally broke and parts are no longer made. We used to have a GE in another home and loved it so gave it a chance again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

problem with the crisper door

A piece came off of the drawer when I opened it. I think it to help seal the drawer to control the humidity. We have only had the refrigerator for 4 weeks. I am disappointed that this happened. Any chance someone can send me instructions on how to put the piece back in to place?

Doors are out of alignment!

We're sorry to hear about the doors being a little off, but this is an easy fix. Both the refrigerator and the doors themselves should be properly leveled. Love this fridge works great only issue is sometimes the ice gets jammed in the ice dispenser. Only have to free it by hand to get it going again but other then that works great!

We love all the features of our GE profile refrigerator. It is a little on the loud side and we questioned that and they said that was the nature of the refrigerator.

I had custom cabinets made to accommodate this unit. It calls for a 36” wide by 72” high opening. However both sides of this expensive unit were bulged out and wouldn’t fit! Love the fridge but not happy with their quality control for the outside dimensions. Maybe if they read this review, they will notify there production facility of this major flaw. My new cabinets weren’t in when it was delivered. Didn’t think I had to look for this flaw before having cabinets made. Not happy!

This isn't the positive ownership experience we strive to provide. Your feedback regarding this issue with the sides will be sent for review and possible future adjustment. We do appreciate you submitting your concern, as we are always attentive to any possible improvements needed.
It is possible for there to be a slight outward bow or bulging on each side of the refrigerator, especially once the model has been plugged in and in use. A refrigerator in use can have a bow of about 3/8". If a 3/8" bow appears on the refrigerator before it has been plugged in, service is recommended; that department is available at 1-800-432-2737.
Please note that, for ease of installation, proper air circulation and to allow for the needed plumbing and electrical connections, there should be clearance of 1/8” on the sides, 1” on the top, and either ½” or 1” at the back, depending on the exact size of your model. More information on installing in cabinetry and needed clearances are available in your manual.
