Love the features and quality of construction

Great refrigerator. Love the 3 pull-out baskets in the freezer, like the option of getting ice out without having to remove another shelf, love the enhanced LED lighting and the split second shelf. Also, like the fingerprint resistant stainless - and the brushed stainless look of the handles. The construction of shelves and drawers seems superior to many of the
other side by side models I considered in this size and price range. Although glass and plastic, they don't seem as flimsy and prone to cracking and breaking. Thus far....all is good.

Quiet and easy to use.

We've had GE refrigerators since 2006 and the earlier model of this one since that time. It was a great unit and the only reason for upgrading tot he newer model was because the freezer door started to leak a little and they were no longer made, so warranty company agreed to replace it.
As for the new one it's only been about 24 hours since having it. Breaking in the fridge with running water and ice multiple times to clear lines was easy as per directions. It's quiet, runs normal, no odd sounds after it was at operating temperature. During cooldown period there were a few loud popping sounds on freezer side, but that's normal as it freezes and cools down. Controls on front are easy to use, but a little hard to see because of the stainless steel and light black lettering. Would recommend it.

Great lighting

Really like the lighting and shelving and clean lines. Disappointed that the stainless steel is only on the door and not the sides! For a stand-alone refrigerator this is an issue as the black sides show!!! Ice maker is slow, probably because the tray is smaller, but once filled seems okay.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great overall

We purchased this after we had to return one made by another brand that was poor quality. We had owned several GE appliances before and decided to go back to what we knew would be a good brand in GE. Good looking appliance, great space for a side by side. Freezer motor is running loud, so we will have to have that checked out. Also door is squeaking pretty substantially when opened. Hopefully these can be adjusted, because we really like this refrigerator otherwise.
