Love my new refrigerator!

I had a older GE Profile. Still working, but I wanted new & stainless. I love the size, look, layout, adjustable shelves, large drawers & bigger freezer baskets and the new lights on the side. Kevin & Juan delivered it, kindly & seamlessly. Thank You!!

Pinging sound

This model was in a new home we purchased 15 months ago. On a daily basis, it makes a knocking or pinging sound periodically. I’m not talking about ice-making sounds. Had a GE
tech come out once; he said that was ‘normal’. Anyone else experience this daily auditory nuisance?

So far, so good

Compared to our previous (different brand) French door refrigerator, this side-by-side makes TONS of ice. Very happy with the door bins and shelf quality in both the refrigerator and freezer sections. It does tend toward the louder side (along the lines of a dishwasher on the wash cycle--not terribly loud, but a definite white noise), and it's worth noting that the increased sound level is occasional, rather than constant. It reached the proper temperature very quickly, and is maintaining it well. Given the current appliance shortage, we were happily surprised to have found a refrigerator this nice, that was quickly available.

Beautiful and full of options others don't have

Writing this review 1 day after refrigerator installation. Order this refrigerator due to the endless perks and extras that other brands and refrigerators don't have like adjustable and spill proof shelving. The turbo cool doesn't disappoint. The refrigerator was down to temperatures within a short time after installation. The ice maker began making ice within a few hours. The storage bins are deep and well constructed. Love the baskets in the freezer.

A good refrigerator with one exception

We like this refrigerator. It is spacious enough to hold all we normally purchase and makes plenty of ice, even when we have extended family over. It has nice space and the shelves can be rearranged to accommodate different sized food and drink containers. The one drawback is it makes a loud, irritating noise as though something is grinding against something at least twice a day for several minutes. GE is sending a repairman next week. Hopefully, we can get that corrected and then this will be a great refrigerator.

Replaced our 11 yr old GE Profile with same model

Our old GE Profile side by side Stainless Steel Refrig was 11 years old and had made bad loud motor noises for a few years, so we finally replaced it, and we had so liked our old one, that we got the exact same model. We like the clean white LED light inside, and the movable glass shelves. The one thing that I wish was better on the new one is that the ice and water door dispenser no longer lights up with the name/word of the function. It just has a tiny LED pinhole light over the function title (Water, or Crushed Ice, or Cubed Ice). With the old model, the whole words of the buttons were lit, so you could read them from a distance. Since the new function words are not lit, they are very small dark and hard to see, so that could have been improved.
