Fantstic Features

I bought this refrigerator a week ago. It is inexpansive but spacious. I needed a big refrigerator that can accommodate a family of 6. This is perfect!! The frezeer section has 2 flat shelves and 3 basket shelves. I can set and check the temperature of the freezer and refrigerator digitally from the outside door. I can lock the features in and their is also a door alarm feature. It is really quite with a built-in water filter.

Profile replacement

Replaced an older profile with this model which has improved the control panel, the water dispenser is also larger. Agree with other reviews that its louder than the older models.

Poor water filter plan

Red warning light,to water filter replacement,is poorly designed. There is no reason to change out the filter on a 6-month schedule,given that there are only two of us using the refrigerator. Further,after I replace the filter,the rew warnking light persists.

So much room! Great for entertaining. LED lighting is great. Remodeled our kitchen. Bought all GE Profile appliances. Worth every penny!!

Disappointing temperature control

The temperature at the front of the refrigerator remains about 38-40 degrees regardless of the temperature setting. The temperature at the back of the shelves is 34 degrees when set at 34 degrees on the control panel. For this level of refrigerator we expected better performance or at least the ability to further lower temperature to get 34 degrees at the front of the refrigerator where we store most of our food. The control panel does not allow setting temperature below 34 degrees, so the coolest we can achieve is about 38 degrees at the front of the refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
