I purchased this fridge to replace a 12 or 13 year old Profile Artica. (older model of this fridge). My old fridge was still working, however I have had to replace several components in the last few months. Lately the ice in the old fridge began to melt and refreeze causing ice dispenser to malfunction. Not wanting to put any more money into a fridge this old I decided to buy a new one. After looking at several different brands and models I really didn't see a fridge that I liked any better than my old one. Since my old fridge had been so reliable, I decided to replace it with one as close to my old fridge as possible. I could not find a floor model anywhere so I had to rely on internet research. After having this new model for only one day here is what I have found. The new model looks better. It's hard to put my finger on it but the new model looks cleaner or more modern. The LED lights are also a vast improvement. Although I have read some reviews complaining that this model is noisy mine is so quiet it's hard to tell it's running. On the old model the controls were on the inside. They were hid until the door was opened. There were more options. On the new model the controls are on outside of freezer door and are much harder to see. The bins and shelves on the new model are thinner and feel cheaper than the old model. The bins, in the freezer, on the old model were on rollers. On the new model the bins in the freezer have no rollers they just slide on the molded plastic liner of the freezer. All in all my initial conclusion is, the new model is more attractive however it seems to lack the quality of the old unit. If I had been able to physically see the new model I may have chosen a different model or brand. That being said, if the new model holds up anywhere close to the old model I will be more than satisfied.

The fridge works fine. Its borderline too noisy. Its much nosier than my last fridge, which It It is very noisy. Its louder then my last fridge & nosier than my 25 year old Kenmore fridge in the basement. The other thing that is terrible are the freezer baskets. Once they are filled up, they ALWAYS come off the tracks and fall. The freezer door cubbies fall out all the time too. There is no way to lock them in place. If I could return this refrigerator, I would.

Not as nice as my old Profile

I bought this to replace my 15 yr old Profile. As everything is nowadays, it is not as good as my old one. First, the door has one less shelf and no can rack. Second it runs loud. Third the back wall of the freezer has frost on it (which can’t be a good sign). Fourth, the drawers don’t slide as smoothly. Things I like are the ice bin has a flap door, it has a deli drawer (which is a main reason why I went with the Profile again) and an egg compartment, and that it is a side by side. I’m nervous about it’s reliability so I bought the service plan-something I never do.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our Design team will be informed of your concerns over the door having no can rack and one shelf less than your former model, as well as the drawers not sliding as smoothly and your other feedback. Regarding the noise the model makes, it is common for newer models to be a bit louder than older models because of added features and technology. There is a description in the manual of expected sounds for your model to make, on page 43. For the issue with frost building up, you might want to check the gasket to make sure there are no gaps or tears that are preventing the door from sealing properly. Checking the doors to make sure they're not uneven may also help. I love how the shelves and drawers are laid out for maximum storage, and the resistance to fingerprints seems to be the real thing. My only complaint is the volume. One of the “cycles” is louder than any refrigerator I’ve ever owned, a very loud sound that resembles a moan. It’s quite prominent.

Nice fridge, but creaky door bushing

We've had this fridge in operation for just over two months. Love the looks, ice maker, and design that blows air over the coil then under and out the front (by not sucking dust/pet hair from the kitchen floor onto the coil). One annoyance however is that the fresh food door lower bushing creaks loudly whenever opened/closed. This happens with the door bins empty or full. I removed the door and applied silicone grease to the bushing and this worked for 3 days then the noise was back. That is the only reason I would not recommend.

Would never recommend, constant problems

This was a "premium" up grade appliance option on our MI homes new build, the unit is less than 3 years old and we have had nothing but problems with this appliance: 1. doors do not align after multiple adjustments, there is always a skew to the two doors which have never been correctly lined up 2. Freezer slide drawer constantly falls out of tracks with minimal items in basket. 3. The water dispenser stopped working and had to have the filter housing bracket replaced after two years. 4. Ice maker line frozen stopped making ice, another repair for the water line. 5. LED lights in the freezer have gone dim now and are extremely difficult to replace. 6. Compressor makes a very loud annoying buzz when on.
