It doesn't have an egg holder, ice maker is to slow (quick ice)

APPARENT DESIGN FLAW

To my dismay the little shelf at the water/ice cube dispenser has no means of draining residual water, expect to remain in the tray or drip down the front of the stainless steel door. Do I have a manufactures' defect? My previous GE Profile side by side refrigerator/freezer, circa 2005, had an open grate that permitted water to drain into the holding tray.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Better than I anticipated

This refrigerator was one of many GE appliances installed in our new house (we did not have a choice) and I was not looking forward to owning 1.) a GE appliance and 2.) a side-by-side fridge(I prefer bottom freezer). However, I am pleased with the layout of the fridge and freezer part and the bright lights on the inside. I don't like the design of the water dispenser tray...it should have holes for drainage so the water doesn't (eventually) run down the front of the fridge. Although this is not a big problem for my husband and me (we're very careful not to spill anything), I would think that it would definitely be a problem for a family with kids. My main issue with this fridge is the very NOT smudge proof stainless steel. It is bad!! And again, we have no children! I'm also concerned with the seals where the 2 doors meet in the middle--there seems to be some condensation and we may be calling service department soon. Overall, it's a nice looking fridge but the stainless steel they used should not even be allowed anymore...seriously GE??!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this Refrigerator!

The LED lighting is a must have! I can see clearly all the food in all the bins day or evening. The extra shelving is great and the shelving on the door is deeper than most. Ice maker is quick and the refrig. is so quite. So glad we chose this product.
