BEWARE: Worst Refrigerator I have ever owned

I had this same model when it first came out. It was absolutely fantastic, that's why I purchased it again. This new one is complete junk. The freezer baskets and shelves don't fit properly in the freezer. You pull it out and everything falls all over the floor. I have replaced the baskets while under warranty and this still did not solve the problem. When I have called and spoken with a customer service representative I'm told to replace again. This is so frustrating. I will never buy another GE refrigerator again. I've tried to live with this for a year and its become impossible to deal with. I won't even give this refrigerator to anyone. I wouldn't wish this junk and frustration on anyone.

Poor space

This refrigerator is to small. I have had it for less then a year and the glass shelves are already scratched up from placing products on them and the ice maker only makes enough ice for 2 drinks. The ice maker at times will not expel ice then a huge amount will come out all over your floor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Design flaw

We have had the fridge about a week now. It was an option from our builder. Love the led lighting inside, really bright. Design flaw with the ice/water dispenser. The drip tray has very shallow grooves and no lip to speak of towards the outside. We constantly have water dripping down the front of the fridge and leaving small puddles on the floor. I would love for GE to redesign the drip pan and send me new one!

Good Refrigerator

We have just replaced our failed GE Profile 2002 with 2017 GE Profile frig. It has worked fine for the past week. I was expecting a better build but I think the old GE Profile used better quality shelves and drawers than this one. So, to me this refrigerator seems to be made of cheaper materials. Also, I liked the old model with digital display temperature and controls inside. This one has controls through dispenser. The look and feel is identical to regular GE you see in stores. I may have considered a different brand or model if I knew this is same as regular GE. The only major difference is that GE Profile carries a 5 year part warranty on sealed components like compressor or condenser whereas regular unit has only one or two years. The stainless steel quality doesn't quite match with old unit and we had to use polish to make it look like our other GE appliances. So, if you don't care much about looks and drawer quality, I think it's a good refrigerator. Since my last GE profile worked for 15 years, I suppose this should work at least for next 10 years!

Baskets in freezer don't stay on rail, get stuck

Purchased this product two mo ago. I'll change to 5 star if GE could fix this problem; two baskets, 1st and 2nd, in the freezer side don't stay on the rail, always fall off and get stuck.
