It’s doing it’s job

The product is doing what it’s supposed to do. I have problem figuring out how to use the control panel. The owner’s manual online is not very clear. I am still flushing the ice maker after emptying out at least two full tray of ice. The ice still has blackish residue, not clean. Also, almost everything inside/outside is made of plastic now. I do like that the refrigerator is very quiet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I love the design of this fridge. They have pulled the led light to the front just inside the doors therefore making it very easy to see everything!

Poor design features spoil it

I have had this refrigerator for 1 month now - replacing another GE profile I had since 1997. Design issue 1 - the ice machine does not go all the way into the back - so stray ice cubes continually fall down into the freezer area. The second poor design feature is the bottom tray in the refrigerator section. It continually "sticks" due to it not being able to support the weight once items are put in it. This could have been avoided IF the tray had longer supports OR the bottom front section was deeper so as to rest on the bottom of the refrigerator. I am sure I will have to replace this tray at some point due to its poor design/function. The 3rd design feature issue is the front display area - it is difficult to read unless fill lighting is on and it also "beeps" every time you change an option - such as going from water to ice. Neither bodes well if trying to use at night without waking up the whole house. On the plus side it keeps the exact temperatures you set for freezer/refrigerator and the interior lighting is excellent.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Has not worked right since installed

New home purchase and was not cold when we moved in. Of course now it is our problem. Refrigerator was serviced and seemed to be working. A month later the Freezer does not stay cold enough to keep things frozen or make ice!

BEWARE: Worst Refrigerator I have ever owned

I had this same model when it first came out. It was absolutely fantastic, that's why I purchased it again. This new one is complete junk. The freezer baskets and shelves don't fit properly in the freezer. You pull it out and everything falls all over the floor. I have replaced the baskets while under warranty and this still did not solve the problem. When I have called and spoken with a customer service representative I'm told to replace again. This is so frustrating. I will never buy another GE refrigerator again. I've tried to live with this for a year and its become impossible to deal with. I won't even give this refrigerator to anyone. I wouldn't wish this junk and frustration on anyone.

Poor space

This refrigerator is to small. I have had it for less then a year and the glass shelves are already scratched up from placing products on them and the ice maker only makes enough ice for 2 drinks. The ice maker at times will not expel ice then a huge amount will come out all over your floor.

Design flaw

We have had the fridge about a week now. It was an option from our builder. Love the led lighting inside, really bright. Design flaw with the ice/water dispenser. The drip tray has very shallow grooves and no lip to speak of towards the outside. We constantly have water dripping down the front of the fridge and leaving small puddles on the floor. I would love for GE to redesign the drip pan and send me new one!
