Nice features, lots of lights

This purchase was our second GE side by side refrigerator. The first was a Profile Arctica model that lasted 20 years. We wanted another as close to that as we could get. This latest purchase has a lot of the same features, but just does not seem to be as well made. Still, we hope to get a long life with it.

Profile Series Is Nicer than Basic

we upgraded to the profile series. this fridge is a lot like our old one but better. It has the same specs to fit in the same space as our old fridge but the interior has a little more room and it is more attractive both on the inside and outside than our old fridge.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love the look and has plenty of space. Only issue is it hasn't got below 55 degrees in the freezer or fridge since installed 2 days ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quality is still there with GE fridges. Can’t say that about some others. Believe me. We must have checked out 50 other fridges and this particular one was a standout better.
The ice maker is nice and doesn’t take up too much space in the freezer. The freezer baskets are good for better cold air flow. The well placed lighting doesn’t flash in your eyes. The handy adjustable fridge shelf is nice to have too.
The drawers are a little thicker plastic and should last longer than others I’ve used.
I’ve returned two refrigerators recently. Be ready to pay more for this model. Hence the 4 stars.

Looks and works great as of day 2. We traded our 30 cubic foot GE Profile for this 25 foot model. Storage is much smaller than you would expect. We had a opening built for the 30 foot fridge and this fits it like a glove. It must be much better insulated. We paid for so many ice maker repairs on the old one we shut it down.

Automatic Ice Maker below par

The ice maker doesn’t shut off automatically. After hearing the ice overflow and fall out of the bin we have to manually turn it off
