Dosent like to stay connected very well with Wi-Fi disconnects every time the screen on your phone goes dark

If you are having issues connecting your Connect Hub to WiFi:
Connecting via WiFi: • Open the Connect app • Ensure you have already established a Bluetooth pairing • After the first download, you will be asked to “Extend your range” after pairing via Bluetooth. If you skip this step, you can follow the following steps to connect via WiFi. • Tap on the three dots at the bottom of the screen • Tap on the image of Connect Hub • Tap on WiFi under Connectivity • Tap Set up WiFi • Select your WiFi network and enter your password • The password field is case sensitive! Make sure the password is being entered exactly • Verify that there are no unnecessary spaces before the password • Tap Connect
Is your WiFi network 2.4 ghz or a dual network of 2.4 ghZ and 5 ghZ? • If 5 ghZ only, this WiFi router is not compatible. Please pair via Bluetooth instead. • 2.4 ghZ and 5 ghZ dual networks are compatible and can be connected to
Are you close enough to your WiFi router to achieve a strong signal? • A quick way to confirm this is to see how many bars the WiFi signal displays when your phone is connected to WiFi • If the signal is weak, try to move closer to your router • Note that you still have to connect your Connect Hub to WiFi through the app even if your phone itself is already on WiFi – these are two separate scenarios

Just received this device from Weber (ordered from my old account by mistake). After fully charging it a software update was available and that download and install was successful. It connected to Bluetooth immediately but never to wifi and I was 10 feet from the router. Additionally the registration step wouldn’t complete either. Simply a waste of time and money.

Died after four uses

I bought this Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub and after four times using it in my Weber smoker it just quit working. mI tried to recharge it and it won't take a recharge! I tried calling for assistance and because I don't have the receipt they won 't help.

I find this Weber Connect Smart Grilling Hub indispensable when you want your grilled meat done to perfection. The dual probes allow you to control both, the temperatures of your grilling space and the internal temperature of the meat you are grilling, it easily connects with your phone for easy monitoring of your food. It comes with a clip for the ambient probe that allows it to stay in place while measuring the temperature, very useful when you need both, direct and indirect heat for your grilling. The set up was a breeze, it also comes with very clear instructions on its set up and use. Highly recommend.
It simply doesn’t work.The first one I bought failed to show a consistent temperature, was 120 degrees above the analog temperature, and then simply failed at ‘624’ degrees by shutting off.
I worked extensively with the company rep to try to fix this problem to no avail. They finally sent me a new unit. It failed in exactly the same way.
I suspect there is a problem with the software. The Weber Connect app forces a software update when you connected to your phone and I suspect there is a glitch.
I would not buy this product until Weber can assure that it has been debugged, and thoroughly tested.

Loved mine so much I ourchased another one as a gift. My buddy loved it. Works like a champ. He made the best pork roast ever and cites this device as the reason.
No issues setting up and it performed very well. First use was on a whole chicken: the temp readings worked as promised and it turned out well. Cooked perfectly
