Love the unit. With the built in WiFi I can be anywhere while doing a long cook and monitor my progress; like the community pool or the grocery store. My only real criticism is that the alarms do not stay constant until acknowledged… nor do any of my other competitors apps. I have 2 one for each house.
When I bought this awhile ago the app was really bad but now it has been updated and is actually usable. Also charging is a little annoying with the Micro USB connector and it never seems to charge to 100 percent. All that being said this is still a great wireless thermometer that with the updated app makes it easy to grill and keep temp.
Very helpful, prevented me from overcooking prime steaks. However, trying to switch between the hub and the app got very confusing and frustrating. Better instructions are needed. It isn’t as obvious or as easy as Weber says. Hopefully it will be after I use it a few more times.

Works very well. I love the WiFi connectivity feature. When comparing with my old iGrill the only thing I am missing is the ability to save the grilling sessions to my Weber iGrill account. If you add this feature it will be perfect
The iPhone grilling APP is VERY confusing. You just want to grill your cook your dinner and it shows recipes. No simple App grilling instructions either. I just want a basic start, flip, done! Don't bother asking for help on Weber Support because your main inquiry is avoided with silly suggestions.

In spite of several Tech visits and multiple calls and parts replacements the Weber Connect doesn’t work and has never worked since I bought it more than a year ago
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
