Coming from a Galaxy S9+ with a small crack on the corner it wasn't enough of an upgrade to justify the price. I figured 4 or 5 generation up it would be a huge difference. It just wasn't. I missed the notification LED, the higher res screen, the extra storage option and other things. It felt like a lateral upgrade but not worthy of the price. Why did they get rid of the notification led? I sent it back.
My first upgrade in 4 years, so i was expecting a new experience. Coming from a Samsung Galaxy S7, i knew there would be the standard Samsung lineup but was surprised by how many thing's have changed. I purchased the S21 5G because the overall body measurements were pretty close to those of an S7. I did not want a large unwieldy phone. The phone is very fast in opening apps and the 5G speeds are great in my area. Of course there are apps loaded on the phone i don't have any need for, but i found the phone itself will now put apps not able to be uninstalled to sleep so they don't use up battery charge. I was amazed how long the battery lasted. That is a plus. Not having to charge every night is good. Overall, i am pleased with the Samsung S21 5G.
