Samsung hits all the right notes for an excellence

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this back in February and had to actually wait a month for it to arrive. The wait was well worth it. I am very happy with this device. My previous device was a Galaxy S6 Edge, which was also excellent but was now fully worked it's life. I have had iPhones before as well as older Galaxy S4, Original Galaxy S and HTC smartphones previously. I have to admit this is one of Samsung's best effort yet. The camera is awesome, battery life is exceptional, beautiful screen and of course performance and software updates has bee. Surprisingly very good. My only feature that I miss and which could have been useful due to covid is the heart rate and blood oxygen sensors from older models. I mean the simple fix would be to get a smartwatch to do this so it's not a deal breaker. You wouldn't think of watching a movie on a device this small but your eyes will be in for a treat. As per usual Samsung's vivid AMOLED screens are the best in the industry. The battery life for a moderate user is easily two days. I rarely charge to full, just plugging in for a quick top up and I'm good until the next day. That being said, remember you have to buy your own super fast charger as it doesn't come in the box. Also you should note if getting a 3rd part charger you need to make sure it has the PPS feature for super fast charging to work. I learnt this the hard way :( Overall there is very little to no issues I have had with this device for the past 4 months. I am very impressed with the progress Samsung has made. The device is stable and performs near perfect each and Everytime. I would consider this a workhorse of a device this especially for business users. I look forward to many more years of great service. As a side note, this device supports UWB so if you have the Galaxy Buds Pro they pair seamlessly with it. It's an overall good user experience. As I finish my review I have to repeat that the camera is absolutely beautiful. The photo and video quality is amazing and you won't be disappointed. There is some slight lag however the latest software update has reduced this lag greatly. I'm sure features and performance will keep improving over time. Great job Samsung!

Went from a OnePlus 8 Pro to the S21 ultra, overall I'm happy with the performance and screen. The battery life was a little worse than I expected but overall still very good. It has a weird quirk where when the phone is "moving" basically while you're walking, it will try to keep the cameras from moving so you don't hear it rattle. This in turn causes the battery to drain. If this was fixed then I'd be extremely happy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this phone since February 2021, and I upgraded from a Pixel 3a. The jump was incredibly significant. What stood out to me was this gorgeous screen. Since we spend so much time looking at our phones, why not have a great quality screen. The 120Hz made it a true game changer for me as well, I'll never go back to a 60hz phone ever again. Other aspects of the phone also wow'd me and made me appreciate Samsung's flagship this year. One UI is a pretty smooth experience, and I'm sure some polishing of the animations will just continue to improve the experience. It's battery has made me pretty happy as well, I have yet to charge it in the middle of the day, I usually end the day at 11pm with about 40% battery. The cameras are fine, what you expect from a high end phone, but I know the software can still make this a better camera to compete with a Pixel. I now have this paired with my buds+ and active 2! A wonderful little interaction within their devices. I think I'll continue to purchase the flagship when possible, unless they keep taking away features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love it. Other than the fold I wouldn't get any other phone. I used apple products, Iphone 3g up until iPhone 11. Decided to try this phone and love it

Best Smartphone on the Market... Battery life :/

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I preorederd this phone after owning the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra for only a few months. This phone beats that phone in most areas. The zoomed photos are better, the ergonomics are better, phone feels great in the hand without a case, less slippery than the other phone, and battery life is a tiny bit better. Of course since this isn't a note it doesn't have the S pen slot, but the case is not too bad. I have to take away 2 stars because I wish the buttons were on the left like they used to be. Now it is a bit awkward to grab the stylus from the left side of the phone, since I am right handed.

Finger Printer Sensor

Moving the fingerprint sensor from the back panel on the S9+ to the front of the phone under the screen on the Ultra 5G was a terrible mistake.
The placement of the sensor under the LCD makes fingerprint feature nearly unreliable and forces me to use the secondary method to get past the locked screen.
I have removed any covers and screen protectors to see if the problem can be remedied.
I have also added my fingerprint nearly 20 different times, with and without the screen protector.
All of the solutions were unsuccessful. I now use pattern instead. Still, it is a shame to not have this feature reliable when previous iterations of the galaxy line were successful in delivering this reliable feature.
Other than this issue, the phone performs tremendously well.

My review is 4 Galaxy S10 Plus w/512GB

I've had this phone since it came out and haven't moved off to buy a new Galaxy because I cannot get the color I want with the storage I want.
Phantom Red would be awesome but I can't get 512 GB storage. I've tried the external cards but they go bad no matter who you buy from and I'm not comfortable putting my photos on a cloud or relying on an external device that may go bad and/or lose my photos, downloads and gifs. I'm heavy into graphics in my writings.
For the amount of money I pay for a device, I do not want to be told I must purchase black to get 512 GB or choose less GB. Samsung has me spoiled so what can you do to fix this Samsung? I'm a TMobil subscriber.

Worst Phone I Have Ever Owned. Period.
on August 27, 2021
Posted by: Aeon
from Hobart, IN
I've had plenty of Samsung phones, LG phones, and even a OnePlus recently. This is hands down the worst phone I've ever owned.
First off, I get service basically nowhere. Ever. And I live in Chicagoland, one of the densest coverage spots on the map. And the times I do get service, it drops consistently. I'm talking every 5 to 10 minutes it just stops working almost completely. Apps freeze. Because they're stuck in screens trying to load data. It will say 5G or 4G LTE, but I will have no service. Only turning Airplane mode on and off helps bring data back. And this is consistently, every day.
Major apps don't work correctly on it, such as Messenger. They will randomly minimize or close with no error message. Stuff just feels...off when I'm using it. Things will happen in apps that make no sense at all.
And before anyone recommends turning off 5G, or factory resetting my phone, just know it's been like this from the beginning. I even bought a new SIM card because I heard they can get worn out. No difference at all.
This one phone really makes me question ever buying a Samsung again. If this is the direction their phones are heading, then I want no part in the company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
