Peace of mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A few weeks ago Stellar Product Testing Panel provided me and my baby this new Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor and Floor stand to try and test at no cost to us. This monitor has truly been a blessing in disguise! I love how I can sleep soundly at night knowing that my baby’s breathing is being monitored by the breathing band; and that when she takes her naps I can check on her at anytime from my phone! The HD monitor with floor stand made setting up the monitor easy and convenient and if it needs to be moved around, I can do so quickly without complications. The app is simple to understand and download too! The Insights data helped me get to know my baby better and follow her sleep patterns. All of the features work together to help take care of my baby through nighttime and when she is napping through the day. The sophistication and upgrades in this model truly help me be a better mother for my baby girl.

Absolutely in love with this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 3rd video baby monitor that I’ve owned. The first two were closed circuit monitors, which is why I chose them at the time. I thought I would not like having a monitor that relied on a phone/app to see the baby, which is why I sought out ones that had their own parent unit. The Nanit Pro has totally changed my opinion. The app alerts you (your phone) of movement and sound/crying, and you can immediately see what’s going on with baby. And it’s been nice to casually check in on baby as I’m using my phone, instead of having a separate unit to keep up with...and worry about charging, or finding a place to keep it plugged-in where I can still see it at night. It’s also really nice that you can connect multiple users, so both me and my husband can see baby from our own phones, whenever we want. We still use a closed circuit monitor for our older child, and often have issues with it getting “out of range” (despite our tiny house!) and feedback/static interfering with the sound. That hasn’t been an issue with our Nanit Pro. Sound

Many Features, Customer Service Not So Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me the Nanit Pro Camera and Floor to try out with my little one! This camera has great design aesthetics, easy to assemble, and so many features! Sometimes, navigating through all the features in the App is overwhelming because the organization of all the features isn't the most intuitive. Getting the App to function on more than one device was quite a challenge, the App would not allow my partner to log-in and we needed help from customer service in order to get the link to work. It does seem like Nanit is constantly updating the App to make it more user-friendly which is great. However, it took many tries and a number of separate emails and over a week for the customer service team to contact me regarding the issues I was experiencing with this camera. I have not had a chance to use the breathing monitoring with this camera yet as the kit only comes with one size band, and the band tends to run small. I would highly recommend purchasing a large band with any kit if you plan to use the breathing monitoring feature - honestly, for the price of the camera, I'm surprised it doesn't come with both size bands included. Having to go through and check which add-ons you might need and purchase separately in order to use this camera in a way that works best for your family is a major bummer. On the plus side, the nightlight provides just the right amount of soft glow so you can see, yet does not wake your little one! And the camera also provides it's own white noise options which is fab if you don't already have a white noise machine. You can control each of these features via the App which is super convenient. Also, the sound detection settings on the monitor seem to be set really well. It doesn't go off if your babe is "talking" to themselves, it only goes off it they start crying and need Mom or Dad-we really appreciate this! Overall, we like the camera, we don't quite love it yet. I think once we have more time to use the App and all the features and learn where everything is located within the App, we will like it more. Lastly, I can't bring myself to rate this camera more highly because of all the difficulties I had trying to contact customer service and the additional difficulties I had just in communicating with the agent that was assigned to my case. Having to explain the same issue you are experiencing in more than three (3) emails is not really acceptable, I hope Nanit can improve this and offer better support to parents.

Nanit is the baby monitor I didn’t know I needed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received the Nanit Pro from Stellar Product Testing Panel. We have a four-month-old and installed it over her crib about a month ago, using the floor stand. It was very easy to set up myself and I did it in probably 10 minutes.
We already had a basic, security-like camera set up that surveilles the whole room but doesn’t provide any additional information on our baby or the environment. I love how the Nanit reads the room temperature - I constantly struggle with how to dress our baby so the temperature reading in the app really helps eliminate that question. I’m also always excited to read about my daughter’s sleep quality every morning on her dashboard. We feel our daughter is a great sleeper but being our first child, it is nice to have that confirmation. She has always slept in her crib so we are not aware of how often she wakes up throughout the night. With the insights - activity section of the app, we are able to see how much she wakes up and how long it takes for her to go back to sleep. That was a huge eye-opener for us!
We used the breathing band a few times during naps, but she is still swaddled so I was only able to use it when we did not swaddle her. It was very easy to put on her and set up on the app each nap and was reassuring to open the app and see her breathing rate. I would love the band even more if she was a newborn, if we immediately put our baby in a crib and not a bassinet, or if she had any health issues.
Additionally, the resolution of the video both during the day and at night is wonderful - we can clearly see our baby and her facial expressions! I find myself looking at the live feed often to see what she is doing or to just watch her!
I’m so happy to have the Nanit and will definitely recommend this product to my parent friends!

Love this camera

For starters, it was a cinch to set up and to connect to the app. The floor stand allows for a perfect overhead view of baby and eliminates the need to permanently affix the camera to the wall or crib. The app is easy to use and full of helpful information. I love that it shows the room temp. The movement and sound alerts are very helpful, since baby’s room is upstairs. The dashboard easily shows how long baby’s nap lasted, what time they were put down and how many times they were helped back to sleep. It’ll also give you a weekly overview of sleeping habits. This showed me that my baby was not sleeping as well as I originally thought. Then, the app will send you tips for improving baby’s sleep. The breathing band was easy to use, just strap around baby’s chest and it’s ready to go. This wasn’t something I was originally thought was important to track, but recently a baby in the area died from SIDS, so it helped me rest easier knowing baby’s breaths were monitored.
Other neat features include a nightlight, nature sounds, a camera, and a microphone to talk to baby. Overall I give this camera 5/5 stars and would recommend it to anyone.

The Best Baby Monitor, Hands Down!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This baby monitor has all of the bells and whistles you didn't know that you needed! I was given this baby monitor to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. I currently have a two-month old and I was anxious to set up the monitor and experience all of its many features. The floor stand was so easy to set up that I didn't need to read the instructions. I do appreciate that I had the option of mounting the camera to the wall, but I preferred the floor stand which allowed me to have a free-standing camera. I was able to quickly connect the camera without any connectivity issues. I was also immediately impressed with how user friendly the Nanit App was. As a mom to a new baby, I simply don't have the time to read long user manuals or instruction guides and thankfully that was not necessary with this application. Once connected, I was blown away with the HD clarity of the camera. It has everything you need in a baby monitor: temperature and humidity readings, two-way communication, great night vision, a nightlight, and even soothing sounds for the baby. I love that you can leave the sound running in the background of your phone while you use it for other things. Above of all, my most favorite feature is the Nanit Insights activity data that is provided via the app. This has been a complete game changer for me. It provides daily summaries of when and how baby sleeps during the day and at night. The details include short video clips that capture when baby was put to bed, how baby slept, and when baby woke up. These very important details allowed me to see my baby's sleeping patterns and have given me the confidence needed in establishing a nap and sleeping schedule and routine. While there were moments of putting baby to sleep that the Nanit Insights feature failed to capture and log, I was still pretty impressed with what it did capture. I review the Nanit Insights activity data very religiously now. I was able to also test the breathing band which allows the app to monitor baby's breathing. The band did not work too well for my situation because we normally use zippered pajamas on our baby girl. The zipper tends to stick out and bend in awkward areas and this seemed to cause issues and false alarms. Overall, I still highly recommend this baby monitor.

Such peace of mind!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon receiving this monitor system through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I was excited for an upgrade in baby monitor. But this allowed me to do so much more than just keep an eye on my baby! With a little 3 month old (and 2 not much older sisters), I often find myself struggling to remember when my baby woke up or when they went down and how long the baby has been sleeping for. The app was so helpful, and all I had to do was open it up and double check when the little guy woke up last or when he was put down - and I can even get notifications when big sisters decide to check on him! I also loved seeing how long it took him to fall asleep and if he woke up throughout the night (without crying for mom). The nightly recap was helpful, too! Letting me see what I may have missed is always comforting. The breathing monitor was great, too! It was super easy to put on (although my little guy was on the cusp of being too big for it - I’d be interested in trying the sleep sack) and the data that provided definitely put me at ease, knowing everything was normal. The floor stand is really nice, although the base does take up quite a bit of area. Possibly the only real downfall to the system. But ultimately, my favorite part of this monitor - how clear the picture is! There’s really nothing sweeter than a baby sleeping, right?!?! I could watch him sleep all day!
