Smart Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby monitor to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel. This is my second Nanit floor stand camera. It was very quick to assemble and adjust into place. The updated floor stand design makes a big difference. I was able to get my camera flush against the wall, with no shaking. The breathing band is a nice additional feature. The breathing monitoring feature allowed me lots of peace of mind. The insights data is one of my most used features on my Nanit. It’s very helpful to see the wake windows and notice patterns. I refer to it on a daily basis. The notifications with alerts of sound or motion are great if you’re doing chores and can’t monitor continuously. My favorite feature is definitely the spilt screen! I thought I wanted a camera with a handheld monitor but after having a wifi monitor, I don’t think I’d be able to make the switch. When my husband and I had a night out with a babysitter, it was fun to check in to see the kids. Great, great camera! Highly recommended from a mom of two.

Great monitor for peace of mind

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I had this monitor for all three of my kids! The Nanit Monitor combines the best of a wifi/app monitor with a traditional monitor. Setting up the physical monitor and the app was super easy. The app can connect to multiple accounts so any caretakers can have access. I love the floor stand because I could get the monitor in the exact right position without having to deal with mounting. The stand slides easily under the crib so it is unobtrusive in the room. I think my favorite feature is that the monitor audio can be played while your phone is in another app or on the lock screen. Only caveat is that it does use quite a bit of battery but I love being able to keep the audio on without having the app open. The insights are also incredibly helpful. We were always guessing how long a nap was or when we'd last checked on the baby, the app keeps track of all of it. The video quality is also impressive. This is a great monitor, thank you to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me one to try out!

Holy Grain of Baby Monitors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the first generation Nanit monitor for my first baby and didn’t think we would be able to have more kids so we sadly sold it. But now baby #2 is arriving any day and we are so excited to have the Nanit Pro for this baby! I loved all the features with my first and 5 years later they are even better!
The installation was incredibly easy, pop the poles together in stand (which is now a sturdy stand that you can place anywhere, not just against a wall). The cord is also hidden so baby can’t pull on any of the cord when in the crib or crawling around it.
The camera connected easily through the app and the picture quality is wonderful! You can leave the app running on your phone in the background and the app can send you notifications if baby is moving, making noise, and with the breathing band (which I’m so excited to have) it can alert you to if your baby appears to not be breathing - our biggest fear for the first few months!
I love the app! You can turn on the subtle nightlight, play the sound machine, talk to baby, see so many stats (with an Insights subscription) and set up multiple users if you have a babysitter or grandparent watching the baby.
Still using the first generation camera with my older child and after so much use and showing others moms I can honestly say this is my top holy grail baby product we have used!

High Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor. Setup for this monitor was very easy as it took maybe five minutes to put together the floor stand and camera. I cannot emphasize enough how high quality the camera is. While testing out this product, my baby had some minor congestion and I could hear him breathing the audio quality is so good. The image quality is very clear and you even have the ability to zoom in on your baby. I was a little hesitant about an app, but it works so well and I’m impressed with all the additional info it provides. It makes things easy for me with all that it keeps track of, like how long my baby has been napping for. It’s also very convenient to be able to keep the app open at night with the “night mode” (screen is dimmed), but during the day if I want to close the app, I will receive a notification as soon as movement or noise is detected. One of my favorite features of the app is the dashboard where I can see a night summary. This basically tells me how well my baby slept and even gives a short recap video of his night. All of the sleep info recorded is extremely helpful when trying to improve your baby’s sleep or get them on a schedule. My husband loves that he can have the app on his phone too so he can check in on the baby while he’s at work. Being able to check on your baby while someone else is caring for them is also a great safety feature. We did test out the breathing band but the size we were sent was actually too small for my baby (he’s a chunky guy). However, the breathing band would be so great to use when your baby is sick or if you wanted additional monitoring on them for any reason. I could say so much more, but I would absolutely recommend this product if you are looking for a product that’s high quality, gives sleep insight, and allows you to monitor them from anywhere.

Best Monitor Out There

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit camera is the clearest picture quality baby monitor we've used. The sleeping and breathing insights are very detailed and a big added bonus. We have the old and now new stand. The new stand does seem more stable and secure than the old one. It took me about 10 minutes to build this new stand. I like that the base of the new stand doesn't take up as much of a footprint as the old one does. Our kids share a room, so we have the baby's crib in a black out tent in the room. It easily slipped under the crib and tent.
Our baby no longer sleeps in our room so having the breathing band on him is reassuring that he is safe. All you do is put it on over his pj's, turn it on on the app and it automatically finds him and connects it. We've only had a false alarm once, but it was when he was in the swaddle breathing wear. Our babe is a big boy for 3 months, he weighs about 15lbs and the 0-3 month breathing band is already getting very small on him. It's already barely going around him, so we'll have to move up a size. I wish that it ran bigger. Most babies are swaddled until they are 3 months, so you wouldn't really be able to use the breathing band until then. I like that I can use the Insights data and go back and see how his night was. It tracks when he woke up and put himself to sleep again.
We have another Nanit for my daughter, and I love the new feature where you can do split screen and view both of them at the same time. You no longer have to juggle back and forth between two camera screens. The app is very user friendly. I think the Nanit camera is the best baby monitor breathing and sleep tracking system out there.

A very convenient baby monitor and easy to use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With my first child, I chose to use a baby monitor that did not connect with WiFi and instead had a separate monitor (no app). However, I received this baby monitor from the Stellar Product Testing Panel and am surprised at how much I have liked using it with my second child!
The floor stand and camera are both very easy to set up, and the app is also very easy to install and use. The picture from the camera is clear, and it's very convenient to open the app on my phone. As a mother of two young children, the feature that I appreciated the most was that I'm able to see via the app what time the baby fell asleep and woke up...very convenient when you are juggling a lot of different things at once!
We have been using this baby monitor for several weeks now, and I have no complaints so far. The only recommendation I would have is that it would be great if there was an option to have a separate monitor (not an app on the phone) that could be used occasionally. For example, it'd be great to have a monitor for when we have a babysitter.

Nanit pro is the way to go

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this baby camera. The set up was easy to do. It works with WiFi. Once I connected my phone to it I was able to see my baby so clearly it felt like watching a movie. You can set it up to get notifications on baby moving which is helpful if you set it up anywhere in a hotel room or on vacation. I’m not completely computer savvy and for me the set up was not problematic at all! I didn’t even need my husbands support to do it. A wonderful feature about this camera is that you can take it places with you. On vacation we did need someone to come help us set it up because the WiFi feature is secure so nobody can break into it but that made me feel better about it too! My girlfriend and I sat right outside the hotel room and had a wonderful breakfast with baby inside the dark room but I could see him move, hear his every move and be able to jump in if I ever needed to which made my time there so it was more relaxing! I even set it up with our pack and play on vacation and it worked great.
I didn’t end up using the breathing device as much as I thought I would. My baby is old enough to cry and tell us know if he needs something so it became more of an after thought to put it on and use it but I like that it’s there for parents with newborn babies!
The insights data helped know how long baby was sleeping for each day, and what adjustments I needed to make with his sleep or nap schedule. I love having that option there even though I don’t use it daily. My husband actually ended up looking at the daily insights more than I did. It helped him with our baby’s routine and sleep schedule too.
The floor stand feature is good because you’re able to move it around the room but the only problem with it is my toddler can now move around and would attempt to knock it down a few times. Initially I wished it was a wall attachment camera but now I’ve positioned it in the back to where he can no longer reach for it so we are in the clear for that!
I think if I had to point to a flaw the floor stand would be the only one. It took some time to figure out where we could put it best so it is not being knocked down. I have to say though it is not an eye sore in the room and looks very sleek and nice. Overall this camera wins my vote and I highly recommend it to all my friends!!!

Awesome video monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, there are so many monitor products on the market, it can be overwhelming and very different to choose just one. It's hard to know exactly which features you want or need and which you won't find as useful. The Nanit actually delivers exactly what I want and need for my baby.
It was extremely easy to assemble (just snap everything together), and the app download was a breeze. I had it set up and functional in about 20 mins. I like the base because I don't need to find a way to mount the camera to my wall - that's a huge plus for me.
I love that the app alerts me when he makes noise or moves around and that I can talk through the speaker by just pressing the microphone button. I can take snapshots for memories of my sweet boy sleeping and turn on a nightlight with a simple tap. My favorite is the night summary which shows little clips of each time my baby was taken out of bed or helped be put back to sleep and also gives a little overview of how long he was asleep and the quality it thinks he received. I wish the additional analytics weren't a paid feature, but I understand that at the end of the day, it's still a business.
There are a lot of nice features that were well thought through. I definitely recommend evaluating this product!
