Best baby camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor & Floor Stand is a game changer. I love everything about it.
The setup was super easy ( I did it all by myself) , took 10 minutes, then I followed the guidelines on the app to correctly position the camera with the baby crib and setup was complete!
My favorite features are the insights and, the night mode and that it tells when how long your baby is sleeping for.
I no longer have to drain my battery at night ans leave the screen on with the audio , the night mode decreases your brightness on your phone ans even if you want to turn off your screen , you will still be able to hear the background audio.
I also love that I don't have to keep checking my phone to see when baby fell asleep, I can just go in anytime in the app and it tells me that information.
Also the view from the camera is the best, you can see your baby at all times no matter what position they are sleeping in.
I didn't get to experience the breathing band unfortunately because my baby is 10 months old and my only regret is not having this camera sooner So I could experience the breathing band.
I also love the day/night summary where it tells you how many hours she napped during the day and slept during the night.
Overall you need to get this camera for your newborn/baby do not even hesitate. I 100% recommend this , it will make naps /nightime so much easier!

Absolutely great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby monitor from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. The Nanit Pro Smart Baby Monitor & Floor Stand is seriously the most innovative and responsive monitor I have ever seen. It has a plethora of super cool design features that are a must for a first time, or experienced parent. The monitor itself was super easy to set up. It had a sturdy base, which is a new design feature. The base sits under the crib or bassinet, and the camera is on a pole that you can attach to the wall or leave free standing (incase you need to move it).
The coolest thing about this monitor, in my opinion, is that the insights go straight to your phone. You just have to download an app which is insanely simple. Then you don’t have to worry about having a monitor which you because who isn’t attached to their phone. This product also comes with a breathing band. This camera is able to detect your babies breathing and motion and send it directly to you! How cool is that!
Overall I would definitely recommend this product. It is on the pricy side, but the peace of mind it gave me with my infant made it worth it. There are so many must haves with this product, and it is essentially a baby monitor and breathing device in one! Super cool!

Lives up to the hype

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had my second kid and we have always used the monitor type baby monitors. The signal is awful, picture isn’t clear and if your baby moves a lot suddenly they are out of sight.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby monitor.
The floor stand and monitor was extremely easy to set up and I love how it has extra cable coverage to keep the wires away. The floor stand does not need to be attached to the wall, the way we have it set up and this makes it so easy to get the perfect view and positioning.
We are blown away at how easy it was to set up via the app and get it going. The image is fantastic and now I find myself not looking at a monitor all the time, because I love the phone alerts.
The baby band just fits my son, so we can only use it for a small amount of time. I was able to use the baby monitoring, Its a nice to have and monitor’s him well. I wish you could put it under a sleep sack as the one we typically use makes it challenging.
The app is fantastic as well. There is a slight delay, but I assume its Wifi related but the insight section is great. Seeing the review of the last two days is amazing. I love how it speeds up clips during the summary and gives a true picture of your babies sleep.
I was always on the fence about wifi cameras nut after reading how secure they are and now seeing it in action, I am obsessed. I even sneak a little peak during lunch at work, to see how he is sleeping

High Quality Picture and Sound but App is Meh

I like the design of the floor stand, it makes it so you can fit it between your crib and wall, or in my case, the pack and play and the wall. It is cool that they thought about cable management and that you have a thing to encapsulate your cable which ever side the plug is coming out of.
It is simple to assemble, but not the easiest to adjust however. You have to take out the whole cord if you want to change much about it. This makes set up a decent amount of time because it is hard to know exactly the right height until you can have it positioned and check on the app.
Also the top does not adjust all that much. In my case the view was okay, but I couldn't position it so that it was only over the crib. Which makes me a little uncomfortable given that it is a WiFi connected app and I room share with my baby. I guess I just felt a little unsafe about that. More on that later...
I like the quality of the picture- it is very good quality, and I really appreciate how clear the sound is when using the microphone from the app. This to me is a huge thing because I can settle my baby over the app if I need to and it is not robotic. There was a slight delay in my case- not enough to bother though.
There are some features on the app that are neat, like telling you when baby was in the crib and when she went to sleep. I think that is neat- the when she went to sleep thing is not extraordinarily accurate but it is close enough. Again it doesn't bother me but it is not something I can count on if I'm trying to calculate her nap times or something like that.
It is cool having the replays when there is sound and motion detected. It comes with Insights Basic, which is quite basic. Though I received this product for free in exchange for my honest feedback, I'm wondering how a product can be so expensive, AND charge a subscription to unlock the full features. It is weird to me knowing that this camera is saving data of my baby that I don't have access to unless I pay for it. I think it would be better if it would allow me to connect to some cloud storage of my own for free if given the choice than only having the choice of accessing through paying for their storage. And I feel like with a product like this, there needs to be a loud and clear privacy policy advertised because given that there is limited adjustability, and stored video that I can't see, it just makes me uncomfortable.
As for the breathing band it comes with, the one in my box was only a 0-3 month old baby. My baby is 11 months so I was not able to try that feature out.
So overall- I appreciate this camera for the quality of the picture and sound, and enjoy watching some of the clips from the app, but I feel the app part should have taken a whole different approach, a free subscription or the option to link it to your own storage, or a less expensive camera and a subscription.
I can see this being useful if you are having someone else care for your baby while you are away from home, but even then you'll need the premium subscription in order to view any of it.

Amazing Monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thank you to the Stellar Parent Panel for sending me this monitor in exchange for my honest opinion. With baby number one, I had a video monitor that was handy to take outside if I was doing yard work or visiting with neighbors. With baby number two, we are in a two story home, and I went back to work after 8 weeks. This is the monitor I never knew how much I’d need! It’s super easy to set up, the picture is great, even at night. I like that I get notifications from the app if he’s waking or if the temperature in the room is off. I can see a daily nightcap that shows wakings. As far as the breathing band, my little guy was too big to try it, but I would have loved it if he was younger. Most importantly, this camera has brought me peace of mind after returning to work. I can see him wake for the day, even talk to him through it if I want. It has a nightlight and nature/white noise settings, and tells me how long he’s been napping. I haven’t had any issues with the connection or image quality. I’d recommend to anyone wanting a top of the line monitor that helps monitor baby and helps track sleep.

LOVE the new floor stand

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We own a Nanit with the previous floor stand for our oldest and we were SO excited when the Stellar Product Testing Panel sent us the Nanit pro with the new floor stand to try out! The camera is much better! The night vision is clearer and the connection is better too. Plus now that Nanit offers split screen we can see both of our little ones at the same time. We used the previous floor stand and it was frustrating not being able to push the crib all the way against the wall since it was a tall tripod base. I LOVE that the floor stand now is flat to the ground! It makes such a huge difference. Our youngest has a smaller room so every foot counts! The insights help so much in knowing when we put her down and when she woke up. It is so easy to track sleep with it. Plus it gives a lot of helpful tips in the app to improve your babies sleep. We absolutely love our Nanit pro and the new floor stand and would highly recommend it!

Everything you want in a monitor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this baby monitor to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and I am so grateful that I was! This is everything you need in a baby monitor. To start, I love the floor stand. We live in an apartment, so we do not typically like to permanently attach things to our walls. The floor stand was easy to assemble, and was perfect for our little guy’s nursery. We were able to use all of the features of the Nanit without having to secure it permanently to the wall.
Next, I love the breathing bands! The monitor offers peace of mind showing that baby is still breathing. The best part of the breathing band is that it is soft fabric - totally washable! No electronics at all.
Finally, there are so many options within the monitor! You can view whole screen, half screen, and even have a tiny pop-out view so you can do other things on your phone and still keep an eye on baby. It also has a night light, and a noise machine feature that you can turn on and off with a simple tap.
These are just a couple of the amazing features of the Nanit! I can’t wait to keep discovering more things to love the more I use it.

Love the image quality and data

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for review through the Stellar testing panel, but I have really wanted this camera since before my son was born! The set up could not have been easier, which I really appreciate. The floor stand is simple, sleek, and sturdy. I love the way it hides the cord for both safety and aesthetics. I previously had a wall mounted camera and I really like how the floor stands allows for a totally unobstructed view. Camera image quality is great both during the day and at night. I love love love all the data! The first day I tried this camera, I woke up when I heard my son, 1 yr old, and looked over at the camera app on my phone. It said he had been up for 45 mins! That was news to me, as he had been quiet in his crib. With my old camera, I had no idea. I also love that it tells me how he slept and shows the night summary. I really look forward to using it with baby number 2 and using the breathing function. I remember when my son was small, zooming wayyyyyyyyy in on my old camera to see the rise and fall of his chest, but it was hard to tell and sometimes stressful. I totally recommend this to anyone, regardless of child's age!
