Track Builder Love it or hate it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids like the hot wheel track because it looks cool and it looks even cooler playing it! They like how you have to build it. Once you build it. It seems like you want to play with it forever! I don't like that you have to pull and pull the track pieces apart. They don't come out easy at all. Sometimes you hurt or scrape your hands. Certain cars only work with this build.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fun trick track

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got to test this product and my kids were not 100% impressed. It does some cool loop-d-loops tricks, but you have to get the track set up perfectly and give it the right amount of pressure. Too much and it launches too fast and flies off the track, not enough and it won’t go all the way around. It can be frustrating for kids that don’t have a lot of patience while playing (my kids) if your child loves cars and tracks and figuring things out, this is the toy for them. I think this is a good toy, but not a good fit for my kids.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Super Fun Looping set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set was pretty easy to assemble, my 13 year old set it up on his own. It shoots the car through the track without batteries! It comes with one car and works best with the lighter cars. The track comes with directions for 2 configurations, but can be added to other tracks and easily modified. It stays together really well. The track even folds so it can be more compact for storage a huge bonus for me. My 6,10, and 13 year old choose to play with this over screens. They have really enjoyed playing with it and can do it together, which I love it. I highly recommend these new tracks. Fun and creative for the kids.

Just ok

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kids were really excited for this toy and the idea of a double loop. Easy for 7yo to assemble, however very disappointing that most cars did not make it past the 1st loop. With adult help a few cars made it to the end of the track through both loops but was even challenging for adult to get car to complete the track. Kids still like playing with it despite this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It works best with regular 1:64 scale sports cars or sedans. Bulky or too heavy cars, such as vans, trucks or buses won’t work as well. Just ok

I bought this for my son's birthday. He was super excited about getting his very own hotwheels track. The set up went fairly easy and the pieces seems to be of good quality. The frustrating part is 99% of the time the launcher doesn't actually get the cars into the first loop. I even tried and only made it through once. My son's pretty and sad. He says "this doesn't work mommy".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A lot of trial and error

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We followed the easy step by step instructions to put together with ease. No major issues there with the exception that my younger child (6) could not put together by self. We started with “Build one”.
Once together, it took multiple times to get the car to loop. Out of 25 times, he got it to
loop 4 times. It became very frustrating for
him; however, once the car did loop he was
just as excited each time. It quickly lost his interest when he couldn’t get it to loop. We switched to “Build 2” with the same issues.
The major issue with the product is the catapult lever (#11&12): it jams each and every time it is depressed. You have to push it out from the inside to reset it. He struggled with pushing it out to reset it so I had to help each time.

DONT GET THIS

Launcher doesn’t work, track loop set up doesn’t work. Causes frustration. We’ve tried for months to set it up different ways and it’s more for looks. Just avoid this product. Realistically it needs the electric launchers to keep the cars going. Yet the car it comes with and others won’t stay on the track let alone make it up even the beginning the loop. I doubt this product was even tested.

Excellent concept, Execution needs work

Just as so many other parents, we found this on sale and knew we wanted it for our four-year-old and his growing HW collection. Setup was fairly straightforward, and our son even helped out.
The reason for a 3/5 star review, is due to the cars being unable to complete even the first loop from the included launcher. In the few hours my husband and I have spent attempting to get this to work, we've tried all sorts of diecast vehicles -- from 1:64 "Great for Track" HWs to Matchbox, even the vehicle included with the set fails to complete the loop, sometimes flying up past the loops, other times clipping the front corner of the plastic base of the loop entrance.
The instructions mention needing to find the right pressure and hand position when using the included launcher, but it's as if you can't get enough speed to complete the loop, because if you slam it as it shows you, the cars fly--but not on the track. I wonder if it would work better with a motorized launcher?
