Quality of picture

I've owned large screen TV's since 1994. I've never had a TV with a better picture. The bright, clear picture is clear in all parts of my room. I really enjoy the ease of the volume level.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color

After owning a Samsung computer monitor and after having replaced a smaller Samsung TV, I must say that, for the first time, I'm very disappointed in Samsung. The worst problem is whatever computer processing it takes to run the apps on here is about as strong as one found in a 2002 Nokia cellphone. Using the Netflix app brings nothing but frustration. When pushing play, pause, return, etc. there's a lag of 30 seconds to a minute before it takes effect. I'd say about half of the very simple apps I tried overpowered the tiny gerbil on the spinwheel inside the TV. On top of that, the right-facing speaker makes a thrumming vibration on any sound setting except the tinny, walkie-talkie setting of Clear Voice. Look, I wasn't expecting a Dolby Sound system, but I didn't want something that actually worsened my already-low expectations.
So the inside of the TV ain't quite up to snuff... how's the outside. A piece of the swivel stand already broke off while I was trying to turn the TV. This is within three weeks of purchase. My last Samsung TV stand is still going strong after 6 years and three moves. Some small pluses: networking it up with my computer was a breeze and is probably one of the best working options. Hooking it up directly to my computer works pretty well, too. And, while they FINALLY put in an "audio in" outlet that headphones can plug in to, there's no way to control the volume. All around, not quite worth the purchase and a HUGE decline in Samsung quality.

Great TV from a great brand

I really like this television. I was especially impressed with how easy it was to program the channels and connect to the internet. The only thing I was disappointed with is the limited number of apps. I would like to see a YouTube app. I still haven't benefited much from the ability of the tv to learn my preferences in channels and shows, but after a few months of learning my preferences, I do look forward to this feature.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight, user friendly

I currently own 4 samsung televisions and I can honestly say that I have never seen any tv out perform samsung. I suggest them to all my friends. The picture quality is unparalleled and my first one (55 inch) which I bought about 6 years ago still performs flawlessly!

Smart TV that is slower than 1986

5 mins to use smart tv feature? Pitiful! Why would it take 5 minutes from turning it on to be able to use netlfix? A "non smart" tv with Fire stick is less than 30 seconds, I know where to spend my money now. Not worth the extra money for the frustration of waiting.
Cons: Did not meet expectations

This tv has a small frame that will allow it to fit in small places. The smart tv feature works great. The picture is very crisp and is a great value!!!!
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: need a few more hmdi connections

Great performance, very good value

My wife were looking for a new TV to replace the smaller and older TV in the living room. We have other Samsung products in our home so we are familiar with the quality. After a couple of weeks of use we are very happy with the new 40" TV.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
