Bought my Smart HDMI TV yesterday, I can't believe how many options it gives you. Go out and buy one!

Stellar picture and features. All work just great. I could use 2 more HDMI and one more USB port but I knew what I was getting and elected to not pay more for the model with that. Only a very minor inconvenience to swap input cables. I have too many gizmos to hook up anyway.
I am FULLY satisfied. Looks as good as higher priced models, has all their features like WiFi, apps, USB and HDMI... costs less. I'm happy.

Great features but they don't work very well

I have had my Samsung smart tv for about 3 months now and I'm not very impressed with the performance of the unit. I will say that the picture is great and when I am just using it as just a TV or monitor to display something on my computer it is relatively trouble free and operates smoothly but that also bring me to my first complaint about the product. It states right on the box the TV came in that it has "HDMI for audio and video in one cable" and when I connect my computer's HDMI input to either of the HDMI inputs on the TV, it does indeed stream audio and video to the TV, but only if you want to use the TV speakers. The TV does not pass the audio from the HDMI inputs to the Optical Digital output or Analog Stereo Audio output jack on the TV and I can find no setting or information on changing it. That complaint leads me to my next complaint and takes me into the area of this unit's "Smart TV" features. First off I bought this TV for its "Smart" capabilities and have been the most disappointed with this part of the TV. Just going into the Smart TV section turns the TV into a slow moving lockup waiting to happen and I often have to turn the TV off and back on or unplug it because it becomes unresponsive. This makes it plainly obvious the processor for the "Smart TV" is either pitifully inadequate or the software written to operate the system is junk. I might also ad that I have only added one application over what the TV came from Samsung with, so the system is not overloaded, as a matter of fact I have only used about a tenth of my memory and I returned the first TV of this model I bought to Best Buy for some of these same complaints and another complaint which I will get to in minute and the second TV was slightly better but still lags and locks up. My last complaint is that the Optical digital output on the TV only puts out audio if the source is broadcasting in Dolby surround sound. If I switch to an application or input that is in just stereo, the TV switches output to the Stereo Output jack on the back and I have to switch the source on my receiver. Even the "Geek Squad" at Best Buy thought the TV should put out audio on the optical out when the sound is in stereo which is why returned the first TV I bought. I realize a lot of these issues could be corrected by just using the TV speakers and I will say the TV speakers do put out some pretty great sound quality for what they are, they just have no chance of competing with my audiophile grade home theater system. And really, I shouldn't have to use the TV speakers anyhow as it is ridiculous that it didnt occur to who ever designed this thing that it might be connected to a stereo or home theater receiver at some point during its life. I will also say that I diagnose Automotive Audio and video systems for one of the Big Three automakers and there is little chance I have missed or done something wrong here as I deal with much more complicated systems on a daily basis and have been tinkering with Stereos since I was 12. It would seem that if I would have bought just the regular TV, I would have been a lot happier except for the fact that it probably would not pass audio from the HDMI inputs to the either of the audio outputs on the TV as this one does not. There is an alarming trend these days with companies releasing untested, unstable, ill working equipment and letting the customer be a field trial instead of doing research in house and this really needs to stop.
Pros: Realistic color, great picture
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, smart tv just does not function well, audio outputs not designed well, smart tv locks up and lags

My first Smart TV. At first I did not want a Smart Tv, but wow it's great. Lots of features and apps to us. I love it and the picture and sound are awesome. I expected no less from Samsung. LOVE IT!!!!!!

Excellent Picture

Samsung has always made very nice TV's. TV has outstanding picture quality and sound. My only gripe is the TV is a little slow to respond to volume or Netflix controls. I did read somewhere this specific TV has a slower processor and you can tell when you are watching Netflix or trying to surf the web. Since I don't watch Netflix or surf the web everyday via the TV it's not to big of deal to me but others may have issues.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
Cons: input controls are a little slow
