I like the kettle. It functions well and is easy to pour. It is a little noisier than I expected. There is a loud hissing sound as the water boils. I suppose this is just something that can't be avoided if you are trying to boil water fast. But the beeping of controls are much too loud. I think they could be half volume and still just as effective. When the water comes to the correct temperature there are three or four loud beeps. Again, could be half as loud and still effective. I'm not sure if this is meant so you can be in different rooms in the house and hear the beeping. As I'm in an office environment, I feel a bit intrusive that everyone down the hall can hear the beeping. And when the 30 minutes are up and the kettle stops maintaining the temperature, there are more beeps.

We have the white version and love it. It is just as advertised, balanced pouring, adequate amount and pretty quick. While we don't change the temp a lot it is nice to know we have it if we get persnikity!
