Fun N Frustrating

Build was fun but frustrating. Some parts kept breaking until the stabilizing parts attached. My chain kept breaking, until I checked every link and realized I had put some on backwards. XD Oops. The elevator won’t touch the ground. It keeps getting caught on the bottom wheel. I have to move it to the bottom myself, then push it up to get it to catch and rise. But, I’m pleased with the look of the end result. I didn’t buy the motor, I think the hand crank is super cute and fun. Not sure if it was worth what I paid, but not sad that I bought it. It will look nice on my piano during Halloween time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It sounds like you did great working through the frustrations you encountered while building! If you're still finding the elevator is being difficult, it may be due to some of the gears being a little to tight and need a little room to turn properly. If loosened and you still have the issue, let us know at LEGO.build/Service-BV so we can take a closer look!

Poor quality control

This is the 4th time I have had to stop building and order replacement parts and then wait 4 weeks for the parts. Extremely poor quality control. There is no excuse for this particularly due to price,
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Definitely a fun and spooky piece. Elevator drop ride is my favorite part ! Reminds me on tower of terror at Disney. Such a cool piece

The instructions and content are easy to follow and very thought out. Takes time and patience. The reward is watching it grow as you build and wondering what the next bag of pieces will bring. Enjoying it very much every night! Spend about two to two and a half hours each night. Can’t wait to see all done and know I built it!!!

Entertaining Build

I purchased this via the website even after reading a lot of the reviews. It arrived fairly quickly and in excellent condition.
I'm by no means an expert builder but I have the older Haunted Houses that were sold a few years back and wanted this for my Halloween display. I was concerned about the reviews about the elevator so I took my time especially with the elevator chain. I built the chain 10 pieces at a time then connected them based on the instructions. Once the build was done I had no issues with the elevator working as it was designed.
This should be a great addition to my decorations and would recommend.
