Don't waste your time on this product. I bought one, hoping to have both the freedom of battery use and not having to deal with gas cans when I might need more power. Quickly, the battery power is a joke. It turns on the machine, but stalls immediately when it encounters snow. Using the cord is better, but you have to deal with the fact that cords are usually less manageable when it's cold.
But the real problem is, the machine is built like a toy. The motor that turns the directional blower jams easily and doesn't work well when it's cold. And now, at the start of my second winter with the machine, the motor turns on with the cord but the blower motor and paddles won't work. And support? Forget it. SnowJoe doesn't answer the phones and doesn't reply on email.
Bottom line: Don't waste your time, get a good gas blower from a reputable/established provider. My lesson is learned, you should take heed.

It took me a while to get used to it & figure how to & Not to do certain things. I have a lot of area to clear & at first the battery died before I finished. Now I can do mine & that of 3 neighbors & sometimes just a bit more. Not nearly as powerful as the SnowJoe snow Broom or any gas unit but it does the job. I would like a spring assist to eject the battery. Does NOT handle snow which has iced such as that which has been removed by road crews into your driveway. I am however very satified.

Worst Product Ever!

Bought the original unit in 2018 and it worked well for two seasons, then quit. SnowJoe was good and replaced the unit, but because of Covid took until December 2020 to get it, it worked twice then it quit. They sent a third replacement in February 2021 - just used it and after two uses it's quit.
While I expected the unit to still be on warranty, they advised me it was not because the original warranty on the original machine is the one they use. I think the warranty should start fresh with the new machine, but not their policy.

I normally do not write reviews. However, the Snow Joe HYBRID snow blower is an excellent product and I feel compelled to share that information. I have used mine four times since purchasing under completely different snow conditions. It works very well with deep powder as well as "wet" heavy snow. However, it works exceptionally well with heavy slushy snow using the corded option. The battery lasts long enough to clean all my walkways and long driveway. The corded option is better for heavy wet snow conditions. Also, the battery charges quickly which I appreciate. I live in Spokane (Eastern Washington) and would recommend the HYBRID model to anyone having similar snow conditions.

Absolute Garbage!

I got one that worked for 15 min in 4" light snow then nothing. They sent out a replacement that lasted 13 min in 2" of snow then nothing. I've been waiting since early February for a replacement and nothing. Don't waste your time and money with the junk that Snow Joe makes. You will regret it!
