I was surprised that even a very wet snow in Big Bear was cleared very well. It couldn't throw the snow far, I was able to keep going as the snow thickened as I moved to the side, a two stage blower would be nice. With 20 inches accumulated, the machine was not very useful, even when trying to do it in steps.
Pros: Easy To Use, Easy to store, Easy to assemble
Cons: Lacking Performance

nice machine 45min of battery life at minus 8c,one problem is the discharge chute needs to be redesigned so you can have less of an angle,and it loses a lot of snow from the chute as the base is not long enough.

Only had it for 3 months and used twice but was easy to use, battery lasted longer than expected. Was able to get entire driveway and sidewalk cleared. Snow was 7 inches deep and heavy. Rained before it started to snow. Had to go slow but was much easier then shoveling. Recommend for anyone who does not want to deal with gas powered and does not have a lot of money to spend.

I used this 18 inch hybred blower on a very wet heavy snow storm of about 6 inches, it did a very commendable job of cleaning the snow!! I have yet to try this with a power cord!!! We do NOT get many "NORMAL" snow storms in Coastal Maine as of late, mostly wet and slushy! The slush did clog the shut, but s quick shake and it cleared and back to work!!!

I recently purchased this model and would have rated it higher but it should have come with the higher rated battery pack. I find that with luck the battery lasted only 45 minutes and that was with only about 2 inches of light snow to clear. The Hybrid is a good concept but with only 45 minutes of usage time I may as well have bought a 110v model. Snow Joe in my opinion pulled a fast one over the purchase of this model to consumers supplying a battery that only has a working time of 45 minutes. In closing it would not have cost the company very much to include the higher amp hour battery making this model a useful tool. Other than that it potentially is a great idea but falls very short of it's potential. My advice is don't waste your money just purchase a 110v machine or reshurch a different brand (Toro) which is an excellent 110v blower. The Hybrid. Come on guys you made a potentially great unit but not including the 6 amp/hr battery the unit falls very short of it's implied usefulness which would have been of little expense to you, at least you supplied a power cord attachment plug because it will be needed

I did find that if you only had a couple inches of snow that you need to push it fst to get enough snow to blow it a good distance. If you have 5 to 7 inches it works best, and if you have a foot or so you need to take a smaller bite. It does throw it 20 feet if you have the ideal amount of snow by going fast or slow or something in between. It does not have quit enough battery to do my whole drive, but by using an extension cord to do the closer part and then using the battery for the rest it works out fine. I would like it if it was self propelled, but for the price I really like this blower.
