I am a 110 pounds, 5' 2" tall, 68 year old woman. I used Snow Joe with the most recent northeast snow storm that dumped 8" of snow. I went out every 3" to remove snow from my driveway and 2 walkways. It's a grat maching that does what it's advertised to do with minimum of noise and maximum power. The battery lasts fairly long but I did need to use the extension cord to get the full job done each time that I went out. I highly recomment it.

I have found it works well in 4 to 5 inches of snow. Needs to be full to blown any distance. My only question is can you over charge the battery if you leave it on the charger to long?

Purchased a refurb model. put it together, which was quite easy. Of course I purchased ahead of time to be prepared. Excited to use during that first snow, only to find out the back lower cover was cracked off and not replaced. So snow just shot backwards onto my feet instead of into the chute. Warranty was already gone, so I've got an expensive paperweight. I guess you get what you pay for with Snow Joe

Purchased a 18" Hybrid snow blower and found it very easy to assemble. Unfortunately no snow yet so I haven't the opportunity to use it. My neighbor used his on my driveway last year when we got about 12" overnight and I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked.

I haven't had a chance to use my snow blower yet but I love having the option of plug-in or battery. The unit is more powerful plugged in so that will help with the heavier snow and the battery will work on the light stuff and clear snow if the cord is to short.
