Does not work very well

Received my first snow blower just before this winter season started. We got 4-5inches of snow, not super heavy stuff, so I thought it would be the perfect test. Snow blower lasted about 10 minutes before it just overheats. Waited about 45minutes and shoveled during that time, took it back out, lasted about 10 more minutes, etc.
Second snowstorm was about 2-3inches. Took the SnowJoe out and it completely died after 2 driveway passes (less than 2 minutes in). Lights and chute still worked, but the engine itself was doing nothing. The light unit was starting to completely fall apart as well, but I haven't been using that, myself.
Got a replacement VERY quickly and easily. Kudos there.
Just took out the second snow blower and I'm waiting on the battery to cool again. I take it very easily down my driveway, so I'm surprised it's not lasting closer to the 45 minutes or so that is claimed to be the life of the battery on this unit. We'll see how it goes in a bit.
If it worked for 45 minutes as consistently as it does those first 10-15 minutes right at the start, this would easily be a 5 star review. I'll follow-up in the future after more use on the second unit.

First time with battery operated snow blower

Worked good on a 2-3 inch snow after a few adjustments from assembly. Does not throw any where near 20' more like 5'-6' feet at beast in this type of snow. The battery did excellent and then I finally switched to electric which worked good. Never clogged and was fairly easy to push

I was excited about the snow joe

I purchased the snow joe, a year ago now, and when it works it does and admirable job. The issue is it working. I don't know if they engineered the wiring poorly or what. When I first got it, I took it out into a decent storm, and the beater bar hit something and as a safety "feature," the engine cut out. And then it wouldn't start, as it was latter I had to wait until the next day to call to find out what was up, they went over how to "reset" the snow joe, which seemed easy enough. The rest of last year, the little sucker seemed to get cold and stop working, leaving me in a decent snow fall to finish by hand. It jus wouldn't start, tried the reset, everything, I came to the conclusion that it got cold, and the motor just quit. Sure enough a day or two latter it would just start up no problem. This year, more than half the time it just won't start. I know, someone is going to ask if I store it outside (up until today), I did not, it was either in the basement or the enclosed front porch. But alas I get tired of hauling it up and downstairs to find I have to move the snow by hand, so now it is sitting in the back yard, being use as a pee receptacle for my dogs, and I am going with a different brand. I do have a SunJoe lawn mower and have had no issues. This product has left an aweful taste in my mouth for SnowJoe's and their company. I would not suggest any snow joe product to any friend or family member.

Great snowblower!

This did great! I used it on 4" of snow and did my driveway and sidewalks. This even did the end of my driveway where the plow left 10" of snow! Battery lasted 30 minutes. Waiting for the extra battery where I purchased it said it would come in a week. Happy with this product.

However, even with the 13.5 amp it's a 4.8 star. The hybrid option is a huge convenience and extends the runtime a lot.

Perfect size for us
