Really Great Phone!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have now purchased two Galaxy S21 Ultra devices. There's really not another device comparable, in my opinion. Even so, I still remain a fan of the fingerprint sensor being on the back of the phone, rather than the under display one that Samsung has been using for a while now. Another con for this phone is the lack of S-pen integration; yes, the phone is compatible with the S pen but requires one to purchase an extra case if one specifically wants to have it with the phone. The cases aren't much larger, but it still adds to the overall bulkiness to an already large device. Now, even with the aforementioned downsides, I still find the smartphone worthy of receiving five stars. Five-star qualities of the S21 Ultra include: 1) Good battery size/life; 2) decent RAM/memory, even with the smaller GB choice; 3) great integration with other Samsung devices (if you use a watch, tablet, etc.); and finally, the best for last...4) the great quality of the camera! The camera is far superior in comparison to pretty much any other smart device out there. The use of the camera's "Pro" setting has allowed me to capture many awesome pictures, including very detailed ones of the night sky and the stars. The camera also, even on its regular mode, has allowed me to capture extremely detailed pictures with its 100x zoom capability! Also worth mentioning is the option to use the 108 megapixel photo setting... And there's a multitude of other camera/video settings and features as well. I love this phone and would definitely recommend it!

Started off good, lately getting worse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this phone since it launched. For the first few months it was great. Fast. The camera was fantastic. Slow mo recording was phenomenally cool. Lately, and this could be software related, the phone has been steadily declining. It'll randomly disconnect from wifi. Apps will freeze, even with plenty of RAM available. The camera will stop working. Samsung capture will freeze. When I do take a picture, a message saying "refining image" or something along those lines will pop up. It'll stay on the screen for a good 30 seconds or so, and sometimes won't go away until I restart my phone. Which means the picture I just took doesn't get saved. The keyboard lags horribly at times. And the camera, while incredibly detailed, always has light blur at night when taking photos. No matter what I do. Particularly the moon. Then there's the annoying pop-ups for Spotify when using Samsung music. And the fact that I can't import my Playlists from other, better music apps. I really do regret buying this phone for the price I did. Especially with no headphone jack and no SD card support. Especially considering how often the software locks up my phone and it becomes completely unresponsive for upto a minute. If you buy this phone, hold off updating the software until all this crap is fixed. It seems a bunch of stuff broke while they were trying to repair the other stuff.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
